The wide color gamut and HDR is going to look incredible. I think this game is going to have many, especially racing fans, thinking about buying a PS4 Pro and a 4K HDR TV. Games that look this good are what sell new systems. Both Playstation and Xbox fans have a lot to look forward to over the next year, with 4K gaming and HDR. Lets hope both can put this system wars BS aside and just enjoy these incredible looking and playing games on their respective systems.

Competition creates innovation. With each pushing the other to strive for the best and outdo the other. The winner... us gamers.

Noble but wishfull thinking my friend because when the first Scorpio vs Pro comparo comes out all hell will break loose..hehehe

Edit

Some people just dont get it..smh

gamerswin242714d ago

Keep thinking that as studios like Naughty Dog, Santa Monica, Guerilla, etc will still have PS4 games looking better lol. Don't blame Sony blame the awesome devs they have. Every generation its the same Sony platform is home of the games which hold the graphical benchmarks on consoles :)

Rhythmattic2714d ago (Edited 2714d ago )

Yep. Xbone done... Hot potato.

jp_footy22714d ago (Edited 2714d ago )

When the first PS5 vs Scorpio comparo come out all hell will break loose. Hehehe. See what I did there?

Armyntt2714d ago

JP, and then the following year it'll be ps5 vs Xwhatever. Then 3 years later it'll be ps5 pro vs that same Xwhatever. Then the cycle continues.

Jayszen2713d ago

It is all about the games and given that Sony has some of the best first party studios and a head start on 4K gaming. I doubt hell will break loose.

If (a big 'if'), by any chance, Scorpio threatens the PS4 PRO in any significant manner, I am sure Sony already have plans to counter that.

Racing Fans thinking of buying a ps4? Sad days

Aenea2714d ago

It's way sadder for an Xbox fan to post crap like this in a PS article...

kraenk122714d ago (Edited 2714d ago )

You're just as pathetic in trolling as in doing your podcasts.

gamer78042714d ago

This looks good but they really need to put astericks by 4k since it's not true 4k, I don't see this rendering at 60fps in true 4k on pspro

OMGitzThatGuy2714d ago

"Checkerboard" is as good as native 4k to some, 4k just sounds better than 1800p so they just run with it.

kraenk122714d ago

They started calling it dynamic 4K at PSX.

It's possible AA is removed in 4k mode and maybe some other tweaks were made to hit native 4K on the pro.
People shouldn't just look at the teraflop rating of pro, divide by the base ps4's rating and assume that's the only boost to processing performance, architectural improvements compared to the launch PS4 hardware could allow developers to optimize for 4K native on pro if they put in the development effort and depending on the kind of rendering techniques the game uses.

If Polyphony Digital are hitting well above 60fps, at 1080p after optimizing their game for the base PS4, with full AA and other IQ techniques that aren't needed when running in 4k then it's possible GT: Sport could manage to run natively on the pro on 4K screens.

Could be that PD are using checkerboard rendering to take a 1440p-1800p image to 4K but when AA and other temporal solutions aren't needed in 4K modes there could be enough GPU headroom gained to manage 4K native if those features are disabled in pro mode for 4k displays.

I feel like you said the same thing in three paragraphs, reworded.

I hope the aliasing on the screenshot isn't indicative of the final product.

URNightmare2714d ago

That screenshot is not in the article. I think whoever submitted the article here on N4G just picked a poor pic to go with it.

i actually just read an article that said that the PSVR portion has only been in development for 4 months, not sure if it's 100% true, but please keep this in mind people when/if it releases.
