Capcom has officially announced that Dead Rising 4 will not feature a co-op campaign, adding to the list of changes that fans are not pleased with. Games like Lost Planet 3, Infinite Warfare, Resident Evil 7, and now Dead Rising 4 are omitting co-op campaigns that were in previous versions, and it might become a trend that will leave co-op gamers upset.
Daily Video Game writes: "Today, Xbox Store has just kicked off three new digital game sales for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One gamers that offer steep discounts on Achievement Hunter and action RPG games, as well as games for those with a $20 budget."
Over the last week, Jake has been going back to the Dead Rising 2 Off The Record remaster and has been an absolute blast. When he was 15 he first got his Xbox 360 and Dead Rising with it, it was unlike any other experience. It made him wonder though, what happened to the Dead Rising series.
Interesting timing. This retrospective was released just a few days ago: https://youtu.be/Et-cKSrWuc...
They took away the depth and charm of the game that made it fun and interesting, and made it into a generic zombie killing game.
This was the series the got me to buy an Xbox 360. The first one was so good. It still had horror elements. As it went on it became kind of a parody. Never forget getting Zombie Genecider achievement and then restarting the game to get the Mega Buster. That thing was monstrous against enemies.
The Humble Capcom Mega Bundle is out now. It features Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, Resident Evil HD, Dead Rising 4, Mega Man Legacy Collection 1, and more.
While I often mourn the loss of co-op, looking back I didn't utilize it a ton. I have friends who did, but I've always been a lone-wolf gamer. Sucks to see longstanding features get pulled, though.
Kinda disappointed to see co-op being lost in campaigns. I always play them through single player first, but I still play the Halo campaigns with a friend or two.
I have not played a good co-op game since Dead Space 3. My only big options on PS4 are RE5 and 6; one I've overplayed and the other is just ok. I'm going PC now, but did like some good games that considered Co-Op an upgrade in their sequels; like Don't Starve and Orcs must Die. I wish more games considered co-op an upgrade. Maybe this is part of a multiplayer arcade game trend that I see in the "co-op" section of the PS Store. Also, Helldivers is underrated, just saying.
I'm dissapointed that gaming seems to be giving up on coop. I think it's incredibly underrated
