Mario is Nintendo Switch launch game, not Zelda claim rumours

Multiple leaks suggest that Breath Of The Wild will not be out next March, but that the new Super Mario might.

Relientk772734d ago

Need a release date or window then for Zelda, considering that's the game I want

SoulMikeY2734d ago

lol, "leaks suggest". You people are bored, go do something productive.

its going to be true.

nintendo cant really use zelda as a switch launch title since everyone knows its actually a wiiu game. they will instead use mario, giving the switch its own definitive launch title.

then they will launch zelda a few months later, probably in the summer

@deafdani

even at the end of the gamecubes life, it still had a very active user base, other big games were released right at the end of its life too, like resident evil 4. the wiiu is completely dead. obsolete. it sold pitifully. in its lifetime, the gamcube sold almost double what the wiiu did in its lifetime

they are only delaying breath of wild to give the switch a system seller for the summer. mario will be for launch.

deafdani2733d ago

Why? That didn't stop Nintendo from making Twilight Princess a launch day game for Wii, despite it being actually a Gamecube game.

Nah, if they're delaying this new Zelda, it's for other reasons.

rjason122733d ago

I literally can't wait for Zelda, but if it's delayed it will save me money and time for other Switch games lol.

Nintendo has stated graphically, the Wii U and Switch versions would be "different" but the "core experience will be the same" with the added power of Switch, could Nintendo be making sure we see the power Switch has?

We now know that Switch is more powerful than Wii U, so I have a feeling Nintendo is adding some special visual goodies to the Switch version!!!

Sladeknight12733d ago

great. Mario would be the bigger global game.

Switch sounds like it will have the best year 1 lineup in console history

Nintendo of America never planned on bringing Xenoblade to North America despite announcing it at E3

These days Xenoblade is one of Nintendo’s bigger franchises – at least when it comes to RPGs – but that wasn’t always the case. The first entry came out in English more than a year after its Japanese launch, and that was for European fans only.

Would've been yet another whack move on Nintendo. I'm glad they did. It's one of the few games I got the switch for.

XiNatsuDragnel19h ago

Well nintendo if you didn't do that big l

Knightofelemia12h ago

I guess Nintendo forgets how boosting sales numbers work. Why lock a game to a certain region or certain regions? You want sales number then flood the market and release the game in every region.

Lionsguard10h ago

I just don't understand why companies enjoy locking software behind such specific things. Imagine if Minecraft was only available for Xbox 360 and only North America and never again on anything else..
