better be good! Last one was a disappointment.

Yeah Rivals was surprisingly better than it, and I didn't care for Rivals much, but looking back at it I enjoyed it alot more than the last one. They really just need to listen to us and give us Underground/Underground 2/Most Wanted not saying a remastered but going to those roots and make a game from that aspect.

Errorist762731d ago

I agree so much...I even had more fun with The Crew since it felt more like an Underground successor to me than any of the newer NFS titles.

Retroman2731d ago

Amen CHEF
EA need to Listen to those buy their products. I refuse to buy another NFS until style like Hotpursuit 2,Underground come back . All this online only bullshlt got to go. 2 player offline racing got to come back. online racing was a good ideal but not Practical .

Retroman2731d ago

Did not kno GT5 was bad. GT6 could not load it on ps3 . In 3 hours trying to load only 27% loaded? In my game collection rack collecting dust lol. Grid was Great .
Never played Juiced but love how environment interact with cars. After seeing Juiced first time wish Need for Speed had environment interaction like that.

nix2731d ago

It's probably a mobile game for all you know. NFS needs to bring back the soul that those old games had.

They failed but that was for different reasons. They still could have done a great game in that style but they did chose mediocrity.

Yeah it was great in some regard but it felt so watered down. Like it truly felt like a test game like Ghost is trying to see what gamers want and don't want with that online only BS!

They played it to safe with this one and in some way I can't blame them because we NFS community are so divided on what we want but at the same time it most def wasn't worth a $60 game which is why I waited till it was free on EA Access

Some of want cops and some don't, some of us want day racing, some of us don't care for it, some of us want in cockpit view (which is very stupid for a NFS game), while longtime hardcore fans like myself doesnt care about in dash view.

Like seriously what other NFS game had in dash view in recent memory besides the Shift games. Most of these so called fans were only brought in when NFS UG2 came out. Anyway hopefully they don't disappoint.

C-H-E-F2731d ago

Yeah, I had NFS on the ps1 since it was a track racer and you had the ford gt90 lord :D. But yeah the thing is people say NFS need to go back to it's roots, but it's roots is SHIFT, it's a track racer. I prefer the underground era, being able to mod my car up, but even that game lacked mods, underground 2 was great but most wanted was even better because it took everything we loved and put it into one game.

As you said cockpit for a NFS game is ehh, I barely raced cockpit on Driveclub although it's gorgeous i prefer to look at my car instead, I drive in real life cockpit all the time nothing awesome about doing it in a game to me atleast lOl.

Perhaps Rockstar will drop a Midnight Club World or something similar to The Crew experience that could be epic. However, no telling what will happen with that series as well although it has gotten to be the arcade racer of choice for me last gen.

Hopefully this iteration picks up the missing pieces from the past and add a little extra to say hey we are NFS and we are back to the underground racing scene, by that i mean mods, mods, and more mods along with great racing, great ai, possible cops, and more mods, online racing is a plus, but honestly I think they should add a pink slip feature like Street Racing Syndicate did or Juiced did that allows us to race for one anothers cars. That would be pretty epic of course collision should be turned off so we don't have cheaters it'll be 100% whose better, whose faster. man that would be epic as well.

When we say roots im thinking back to EA Canada " Track an Field " Present " The Need for Speed" from 3DO
The first 7 ps1 NFS was it. After those 7 Nothing exciting came until ps2 Hotpursuit 2, Underground 1 an 2 , Mostwanted 2005, Criterion games Hotpursuit was in the right direction but fail . Waaaaaaay to many U shape drifting turns.

New title " Need for Speed Arena " they got to be kidding .

Retroman2731d ago (Edited 2731d ago )

Speaking Honestly here (my personal experience )

there're have not been a Decent NFS since blackbox Mostwanted . before that blackbox studio Underground , Hotpursuit 2 rest been one failure after another . the question we should be asking is "why" are we suppose to act like blind sheeps accept what they dish out and buy it anyway ? Why was Rival crappy? Was it design from scratch to be crappy ? and this always online 2015 crapfest. was it design from scratch to piss gamers off with night only racing and constant raining ,drifting. Why was Undercover crappy Was it design from scratch to be crappy?? is Criterion games and Ghost games deliberately sabotaging NFS ? What is the Real reason EA Fking up NFS .
Don't kno about you guys im tired being blinded. whats going on year after year we dishing out our money on Exciting Promise Hype end up with SHITTY product . This E3 be the same. hype you up with exciting cut scene of action racing on stage buy into the hype say to yourself " Ah she-it ,man bout fking time" get home game Nothing like they promote . not this time EA . until NFS go back to its Real ROOTS as promise im not nibbling.

C-H-E-F2731d ago

Exactly, and this is how I move on games. For example I think EA is sabotaging Titanfall for releasing it when they did "between bf1 and cod" that was just plain out wrong. However, I wasn't going to get Titanfall because I was going to strike them because they chose money over the gamers (xbox exclusive) but then I saw that they were giving all their DLC for free. And being under that umbrella (EA) that is a HUGE accomplishment so I chose to buy the game and support them because we need more games that follow this Rockstar games approach.

However back on NFS, there's no idea as to why we are getting crappy NFS games, but I also would like to address that it's not just NFS it's all racing games. GT5 to GT6 was so pathetic like was that not just DLC? Juiced 1 to Juiced 2 was pathetic how the heck did they even make Juiced 2 from the initial game anyways lOl, Grid series as well, I'm not sure why it seems like racing games are no longer as good as they used to be but it's definitely proof in the NFS brand as well. We do need to vote with our wallets and address what we expect in these forums for EA to see and take notes and implement.

CocoaBrother2731d ago

Please don't be online only. That's what stopped me from getting the last one

Activemessiah2731d ago
