Infamous: Second Son And First Light PS4 Pro Patch Are Live, Download Size Revealed

yes, they should patch every game they can (first and second party games for sure) since they said its very easy to do. bloodborne is a title many want and expect.

(and that includes Uncharted and other beautiful games) Think the Order is just on another level still (the game that perplexes me how on earth is this real time when moving the camera)

I would just assume the company that is selling this device would provide more than words on how the Pro improves the game over the standard PS4 on a HDTV.

They made a blog post about it, they talk about it...but they can't show it?

So there is "far better" image quality, but there are zero comparisons and we are 8 days from sale.

If you are gaming on a 4k HDR, then yes, I would be excited. But I have not seen anything that suggests a "far better" image quality on PS4 Pro over standard PS4 on HDTV.

They have provided nothing to show this. I also don't see how HDTV owners (the majority) are excited about the Pro when we don't even know how it is going to improve the games.

And no, I do not think there will be a decent difference from PS4 Pro vs. PS4 on a HDTV. I think if you don't have them in your living room side by side then it is not going to make one bit of difference when you are playing the actual game.

If the difference was that "decent" they would be showing it and not just describing it.

As someone whose launch day PS4 is already choc full of updates, am I now going to be forced to download HD textures patches for a console I have no immediate plans to own?

Also, there probably won't be many, if any, games that have upgraded textures since it still has the same amount of RAM.

Got a 4K TV a few weeks back. Have my Pro on order. Read through some of the comments. Remember, you don't need a 4K TV to see benefits from the Pro. One of the main reasons I'm getting one is PSVR. I think what is a very good experience now with PSVR will be even better with the Pro.
I can't wait to see new info on God of War and what that will look like in 4K HDR!
Question. My son will be getting my current PS4. I have a 2TB HD in it. I know Sony has made it easier to transfer info between systems BUT can I just swap the two drives? Put the new 1TB in my old PS4 and put my 2TB in the Pro? I have to research this but my gut says no at this point.

You could swap them. But in the process you will lose all of your data. Unless you really need the 2 Tb in the pro I'd say leave it. Just do the data swap. Otherwise you are downloading everything all over again. For two consoles. Could take forever, or not long at all depending on your internet speed and how many digital titles you own.

I get my current 4k fix through my fire TV (4k) and my shield TV (much more impressive than fire as it supports 4k60)
Looking forward to testing out the ps4 pro on launch, I've had HDR issues with the patched version of Deus ex on my ps4 original (pink and blue artifacts) TV is a SUHD Samsung so guess it's teething problems.
Also can't wait to see what the Scorpio actually ends up being once they have a production model available, day one for me too as it stands.
