PlayStation VR Sales in Japan Detailed: 41,000 Bundles 11,000 Standalone; Over 90% of Shipment Sold

Media Create released its detailed analysis of the Japanese market last week, including additional figures on how PlayStation VR and its games performed on the local market.

Because somehow I managed to put a pretty big scrape on my left lens and looked all over the internet for a way to polish or fix it because I was assuming it would cost me to send in because it cost someone I know 200 with the vive to get a lens replaced. Decided to just give sony a call and they said to just send it in and they will replace the lens free of charge.

Played through the Batman VR game tonight for the first time. A bit short but damn that was so good! Will certainly play through more times because of the unlocks and hidden stuff.

Arkham VR is the best game on VR. Probably the best looking game too. Rocksteady is incredibly talented, for $20 it is a MUST BUY if you own a PSVR. Rigs is great as well, terrific game even if it wasn't in VR. Until Dawn was my biggest surprise, the game is a blast. The game i've played the most if Driveclub VR, it's exhilarating and it's a real game. Loading Human was the worst game i played, borderline broken. Also, Bound and Robot's Rescue (Playroom VR) were the best 3rd person games. I haven't played a non VR game since October 13th.

Does Batman VR have a good story?

I can answer that Colbertinator, The story won't win any oscars, but it's ok and very well done, what Batman does well is immerse you in the game, some of the best VR graphics I have seen, the biggest issue is the length, but it's not that expensive so no real problem except left me wanting more.

I would recommend it to anyone with the PSVR, my favourite game so far.

i watched it on youtube (psvr is not sold in my country yet) and i gotta say it has an amazing execution to it, kinda like how good the scarecrow stuff felt the first time you experienced it in asylum. and the youtubers themselves said that it was probably the best and most immersive VR game they tried.

Yeah loved the batman game, I spent ages just messing around in the batcave after I finished the game.

I wouldn't mind some more batman.

Get all the riddler throphies it's worth it and good fun doing so. I've spent hours just checking out characters, really cool détails.

Until dawn nearly gave me a heart attack at times. My gf refuses to try it and the kitchen demo lol

Not bad for a "gimmick". Seriously thougb VR is amazing (have a vive) and am glad to see it's implementation to a larger audience. Being still in its early years I cannot wait to see where this amazing tech goes

So basically 1,2 - 2,0 % of Sonys userbase is going VR. Is this good or bad? Dont really know how much they need to break even after the development cost.

Actually it's more like 5% that's predicted to adopt VR by the end of the year.

Considering the fact that the PS4 sold over 43 million consoles there around 2.15 million PSVR units which isn't bad for a device like this.

I wasnt talking about profit of headsets sold. They probably put millions in making the headset. How long will it take to get that costs back. If every headset has only 10$ profit that wouldnt be a success.

I have a japanese friend to whom I said I wanted the PS4 Pro. He didn't react to that much and told me it was the PS VR he wanted, lol
