Looks absolutely fantastic. That generational difference between RDR and RDR 2 is immense.

mikeslemonade2769d ago

Would look nicer on a PC but go ahead and keep it on consoles. No interest in the game but I will buy it anyway for the flavor the month appeal.

gillri2769d ago (Edited 2769d ago )

or would look nicer on a PS4 Pro/Scorpio

OC_MurphysLaw2769d ago

lol....ok @mikeslemonade.... whatever helps you feel better.

xHeavYx2769d ago

Interesting the emphasis that they put on showing different players. I wonder if it will be like GTA 5 with multiple characters, or if it may be a co-op based game that you can play online with other people

mamotte2769d ago

"would", but it doesnt. At all.

Utalkin2me2769d ago

@mikeslemonade

Might want to try a mikeshardlemonade, you seem a bit upset.

IIFloodyII2770d ago

Was expecting something more than basically just a teaser trailer. Hopefully Rockstar don't leave us waiting too long to show more.

Reckless_Love2769d ago

We do have essentially a whole year to wait, they're just wetting our appetite.

I really hope that's the real foliage draw distance. It's incredibly immersion breaking in GTA V when you drive by and you see shapes forming in the near distance.

IIFloodyII2769d ago (Edited 2769d ago )

Yeah, true, just hope they aren't too stingy with footage.

I trust Rockstar enough to believe that's what the final game will look like (well at the very least close to that). Besides I think it'll mostly avoid the pop-in problem simply due to you generally moving much slower than you usually would in a GTA game.

Reckless_Love2769d ago

It's actually still noticeable at slow speeds too.

I have a degree of faith in it being appeased, looking back at the ps4 reveal trailer of GTA V it showed the new foliage, such as grass, at angles that only showed the areas close by. This trailer is totally the opposite, well... It is in regards to this very specific detail.

Also this team has had 4 years on PS4/ XB1 hardware, with only those systems in mind. And finally RDR actually had a fairly good pop in distance (i started replaying it yesterday, it's a jagged, yet beautiful, mess on a 65" screen)

Gecksta2769d ago

They will if it's anything like they did with gtav. Painfully slow

FPSRUSSIA2770d ago

im hyped first the Nintendo switch trailer and now this to much hype in one day

showtimefolks2769d ago (Edited 2769d ago )

Like GTA 5 first trailer it was short

But those graphics just wow

I don't think the voice matched of John?

Can't wait to find out more

I think there maybe another trailer at PlayStation event or the video game awards

nevin12769d ago

Are they having a PlayStation experience this year?

Ceaser98573612769d ago

yes !! its gonna happen every year now.. but more likely they will focus hard on indies since they gave indies a miss at E3 ...

F*** AI

Two trillion dollar company that just can't wait to put as many people possible out of work as fast as possible.

It feels like every single thing they do is making gaming worse and destroying the industry.

Why all the hate? Im actually excited about this! Always wanted this kind of immersion, and an AI companion with me all the time helping me out knowing the status of my skills/inventory/progress and giving me tips on the best approach or how to craft something specific is game changing for the industry.

Hate all you want about AI, but this is just the start and I can see the potential already. You wont be complaining in the next 5-10 years about this, but rather complain if a game hasn’t implemented it.

MrDead5h ago

Yes we can't wait for the work of others to be used without the need to pay them so that MS can profit even more from the people they fire.

I_am_Batman5h ago(Edited 5h ago)

There is no chance I'd ever use something like this, especially if it's not part of the core game design, but a layer on top of it. It's way too much handholding. Many games already feel like busy work, because they don't let the player figure things out on their own. Having a real-time interactive guide defeats the purpose of playing the game in the first place in my opinion.

If this were to become the standard like you predict, we'll see more and more video games get away with bad design, because people will just be used to ask for help from the AI companion anyway.

Number1TailzFan4h ago

Well Nintendo don't need this with some of their games these days, with invincible characters, items, easy bosses etc.. they do the hand holding built in

helicoptergirl4h ago

Takes "hand holding" in games to a whole new level.
