Sony released a hdr patch a while back of all PS4's so I think that department is covered.

There are 3 games that have been patched with hdr....Deus EX:MD,Hustle Kings & Shadow of Mordor:GOTY.More will be coming out by time the Pro is released.Imo since Sony implemented hdr on the original PS4 already you would think more games would have been updated already so folks can try out the feature that have 4k hdr tvs.Have no clue why it's taking so long.

Hustle kings always is the first with supporting stuff. HDR, VR, Move, etc. I have yet to talk to anyone who actually plays Hustle Kings.

There is a different workflow when creating HDR textures. I won't be surprised if HDR support for already released games will be scarce.

Uncharted 4, the last of us Remastered, Debs Ex: Mankind Divided, FF15, Watch_Dogs 2, Shadow of Murder, and Infamous:SS and First Light support and will support HDR via patch and upon launch.

Sadly The Witcher guys are way too close to MS to release a patch for the PRO at this time. They will bring the patch when Scorpio is released so they dont give Sony one year exclusivity. The good thing is even w/o a patch game should perform much better on the pro, unless of course they release a patch to limit the framerate on the Pro.

I think that is actually what most patched games will provide. Graphic enhancements. Frame rate leaps from 30 to 60fps are quite unlikely, not because the machine got an apparently weak cpu, but for the fact that rewriting part of the game codebase, optimizing it, and then posterior qa is costly. Graphic enhancements are much cheaper.

4k at medium-high settings that's not a smart move. From what I have seen of the pro game play I can say it looks washed out and is no where close to the max PC settings and to make it even worst it's locked on 30 fps I can show how this is supposed to look and run.

I'm having my doubts anyone who owns a 4k tv knows hdr kicks in with a flicker why do I not see that happen. A display comes up when hdr is detecting!! Not once have I seen it enable on ps4. I call bulll!!!! Prove me wrong!! Ive been a playtation only gamer my whole life in till Xbox one s. They forced my hand by including a uhd player. There is no streaming 4k it will never be as good as physical. Just saying I hated xbone but they proved me wrong I use it because there's so much hdr and 4k content. In not happy to say that but they were there for me..Sony let me down and Microsoft picked me up...I still love Sony but common this discount 4k isn't cutting it!!

Edit just booted up after 4k patch for second time no hdr..no hdr brightness setting no option or setting or mention of 4k at all...we are just to believe this?? Believe what you want I'm looking at it right now....

I just don't get it what's the point of 4k when you are forced and limited In content you can watch. Streaming is the absolutel worst excuse for a 4k. There is next to no content on Netflix unless you like moving art!!! You think you will get Tarzan. The shallows. Star trek ECT ECT on streaming? not a chance. The only place for true 4k at this time for streaming physical and games is Xbox one s....it just is. I love Sony but so pissed they went this way. Sony has one option in video and its hdr automatic or off! Really? Just saying not sure if anyone is aware of the 4k options on the other guy cuz at least there's options from 480 to 4k and a lot of tweaks in between to play with. And honest for me who bought a 4k hdr tv. Gears of war 4 and forza in hdr is honestly a game changer it's breathtakingly beautiful!!!
