Japanese Gamers Have Been in Line for Hours to Get a PlayStation VR

Lines in front of the most popular electronics stores in Tokyo are a familiar sight for those who have followed the Japanese gaming industry for a while. In the last few years, those lines have become shorter and shorter, and in many case didn’t even appear due to the spreading of pre-orders and online shopping.

I remember waiting in line for the PS2 and PS3. The PS3 release almost turned into a brawl at the location I was at, lots of running and pushing. Now a days you just pre-order and pick it up, far less exciting, but I don't miss the madness of the crowds.

Mine was delivered about an hour ago, can't use it yet until I finish moving into my new home but at least i'll already have it and not worry about getting it later. Gonna be cool to play the "Blood Ties" mission in Rise Of The Tombraider in VR, also can't wait to play Star Trek Bridge Crew in December.

Japanese people love standing in lines! They see a line to a restaurant, must be good... stands in line for 45 min. But, it always seems to workout. Stand in line for something, in Japan, and odds are you won't be disappointed.

I got one at home but can't use it cause I sold my PS4 to buy the Pro. I payed for this thing months ago but can't even use it lol. Truthful I don't care for VR but since I'm a gamer I buy pretty much all the new systems at launch even if I feel I may not want it. Strange I know.

In Japan VR will be huge. They always like high tech new hardware. They appreciate new experiences. I'm gonna get it too here in America. I can't wait till one day it's common place and game experiences are something like a epic game story we have on consoles.
