Paper Mario: Color Splash Review - Flawed but Lots of Fun [WCCFtech]

Paper Mario: Color Splash is far from flawless, particularly in its battle system, but it's still a lot of fun and its art style looks really nice.

Looks cute but I'll wait for a sale, haven't played Paper Jam yet...

Festano2779d ago

The art style of this one is really cool.

mikeslemonade2779d ago

Minus 8 because it's WiiU game.

Garethvk2779d ago

Nintendo is pretty much not on my Radar anymore.

EddieNX 2779d ago

Good for you, nobody cares!

Garethvk2779d ago

Neither do most consumers based on their sales and I have 4 million plus radio show listeners alone per month who care and will love the NX segment we air Friday.

superchiller2779d ago (Edited 2779d ago )

@ Garethvk - Sadly Nintendo has become irrelevant to most of the gaming community these days. The golden years are long gone, and have been for well over a decade. And they're afraid to even talk about the NX, showing a huge lack of confidence in the system.

Garethvk2779d ago

They in many ways have themselves to blame. We saw the announcement at E3 then a year later saw it again and had a special hands on at SDCC. They promised us that Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, and a new Zelda would be out within 3 months of launch. So we went out and pre-ordered the deluxe unit. Then they got snippy and demanded coverage then cried poverty when it came time for review material. So we cut them off. They kissed up and made good, only to fall back again and again. They would come sniffing around at Xmas or before a launch, do this, cover this, do that, then oh we do not have review materials, or we cannot do this like we said we would. Well when you mess with media, keep pushing back release dates, and then make stuff that does not excite people you will lose an audience. They have put out some great stuff in the last year and change, the issue is the market has largely moved on. If they reported 500 price for the NX is accurate then they will really have some selling to do as I cannot see many people willing to pay that when so many third parties are not supporting it.

If you don't care or like Nintendo anymore, why are you here? Trolling much...

blawren42779d ago

yet you are here? Are you lying to us, yourself, or are you just trolling?

Garethvk2779d ago (Edited 2779d ago )

Quit being such an applogist for a dead system or can you simply not handle opposing views? Everything I said was 100% factual based on my experiences and my staff's experience dealing with their P.R. firm. They produced an underpowered system with a lack of quality titles at launch and no real third party support and consumers avoided it. Those are facts not opinions. Sorry if you call it Trolling but honest and brutal truth hurts sometimes and Nintendo is poised to make similar mistakes with the NX. High Price point, limited third party support, not as powerful as what is on the market now much less what is coming.

blawren42779d ago (Edited 2779d ago )

Gareth. I was referring to them not being on your radar, yet you are here giving them a great deal of your attention.

And spouting off about sales and all of the wii u troubles on a positive paper mario review, totally off topic is indeed trolling.

wonderfulmonkeyman2779d ago (Edited 2779d ago )

Brag about your inconsequential little radio show all you like; you're still a flame-baiting hypocrite that can't get Nintendo out of your mind.
Also, latest rumors indicate the NX has enough power to host all the third party games. Deal with it.

Paper Mario: Color Splash Is Great, Actually

Following up a disappointing game in the final days of the Wii U was a tough job but somebody had to do it.

Super Paper Mario is by far my favorite. The sticker stuff they came out with after was a terrible way to go. Super has an amazing fun story with humor beyond any other mario game before it. I loved the platforming style WAY more than turn based mechanics that pause the games progress and make it much longer than needed. The sticker idea was the worst thing the series ever did. I bought a 3ds to play it and I wish I had never bought the console.

6 Franchises Nintendo Needs to Resurrect on Switch

The Punished Backlog's David Silbert writes:

"Nintendo is widely known for its deep, eclectic well of beloved franchises. From The Legend of Zelda to Wrecking Crew, there’s no library in gaming as rich in history or as popular among fans.

2019 is shaping up to be a banner year for Nintendo, with representatives from Mario, Fire Emblem, Zelda, and Pokémon all gracing the Switch platform before the year’s end. At the same time, there are still plenty of Nintendo franchises that lie dormant this generation, in desperate need of the “Switch treatment.”

While there are plenty of legendary series worthy of a revival, here are six in particular I would absolutely kill to see on Switch in the near future."

A new Golden Sun and Mother would be great, but I wish I wasn't the only one that wants a new StarTropics.
