sad to hear my 3d blurays won't show in 3d in cinematic mode, since there would be no ghosting due to each eye getting it's own screen. Also, I hope in the future to be able to get different background environments for cinematic mode, maybe themed to awesome games like uncharted!

sounds like a flat out no for pc support :( too bad i think sony could of really taken a large share of the market on pc. Tried the psvr at bestbuy and it exceeded my expectations but i think its application will be limited on my ps4.

Ah I feckin hate HDMI lately. Yet more overly complex cable setup required just to avoid the constraints and quirks of HDMI if I want the best of PS4 Pro and PSVR.

Q: Will PS VR display 3D content in Cinematic Mode?
No. In Cinematic Mode, PS VR will display 3D games and films in 2D when playing on a 3D-compatible TV. When playing with non 3D-campatible TVs or without a TV, PS4 won’t play 3D games and films.

Can someone explain this to me. What I understood of this that yiy wont be able play any 3D stuff if you dont have 3D tv at all?

Star512794d ago

It means that games and movies that support 3d glasses can only be played on tvs that support 3d glasses.
Psvr will not suddenly add 3d stereoscopic viewing, or enabled media for 3d viewing, without owning a 3d compatible tv.
If you dont have a tv that supports this feature it will play like it would on a standard tv.
Hope that's helpful.

I can finally watch pron, I mean watch pronouns be pronounced in PC VR games that were previously not available on Playstation.

crazyCoconuts68d ago

Profchaos68d ago

I'm excited for that to plus I can try fallout 4 VR always wanted to play that

crazyCoconuts68d ago

I was lucky and held off on 4 until I played it in VR. It really is pretty awesome - you'll love it.

The icing on the cake would be if Sony / Valve allow for a Steam Link app much like it is for the Quest 3. Likely wishful thinking, though.
