So hyped for RE7 in VR. Not much time left.

Summons752796d ago

It's the first game that's not a tech demo to be in VR, I'm pretty excited too. Just waiting for them to announce a VR bundle.

Kurisu2796d ago (Edited 2796d ago )

I'm waiting for a bundle as well. I don't understand why the UK / EU isn't getting the same launch bundle that the US is getting with the headset, camera, move controllers and PSVR worlds.

Also, a similar article has already been posted here a few hours ago.

freshslicepizza2796d ago

why aren't people complaining about timed exclusive deals? if people want vr to take off they should not be trying to do these deals.

S2Killinit2796d ago

There is plenty that arent "tech demo". In fact most of the 50 games coming in a window of a couple months are full fledged games. My personal favorites:
RIGGS
RE7
DCVR
GT:Sport
Here They Lie
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood

Aenea2795d ago

Driveclub? RIgs? Battlezone? Eve Valkyrie? Are those tech demos?

Summons752795d ago

@ S2Killinit and Arenea

Apparently you missed the word FIRST in my comment. RE7 (unless delayed) is coming out in Janurary, those other games aren't out till late next year if not 2018. So yes RE7 is the FIRST REAL GAME coming out for VR THAT I AM INTERESTED IN and ACTUALLY CATCHES MY ATTENTION UNLIKE THE BORING TECH DEMOS.

Does that clear things up for you?

Aenea2795d ago

Again, are the games S2 and I mentioned mere tech demos?

Here are their release dates:

Driveclub VR: October 13, 2016
Rigs: October 13, 2016
Battlezone: October 13, 2016
Eve Valkyrie: October 13, 2016
Until Dawn Rush of Blood: October 13, 2016
Here They Lie: October 13, 2016

Only RE7 and GT: Sport aren't releasing this month, so to claim that RE7 is the first non tech demo is a tad weird.

This exclusivity crap is lame. As a multi console owner i dislike it.

Lilrizky2796d ago

I doubt the VR version wouldve even happened if sony didn't approach capcom to develop the game around it

_-EDMIX-_2796d ago

@818- VR can't simply be tacked on the game many times has to be made around the concept so it's a very likely Sony paid to have some of the developers assist in helping that Mode work correctly so of course they're going to pay for some sort of time exclusivity to not have it go on their competitor Oculus Rift for the next 12 months to capitalize on its launch.

Lilrizky2795d ago (Edited 2795d ago )

@81BX Why? Street fighter V wouldn't of happened without Sony similar to Sunset Overdrive not happening without Microsoft and Nintendo saving Bayonetta. it's not really uncommon....

81BX2795d ago

@lilrizky
Valid points, how ever we are at the beginning of the vr push. Do we know
For sure sony approached capcom or was it the other way around? Im not 100% so i cant say for sure. If it wasnt sony capcom wouldve approached vive for example.

Im just glad VR for consoles is finally here. Exciting times indeed.

Aenea2795d ago

Got a PC with a VR headset?

No? Then you don't have to be upset since it's only the VR part that is timed exclusive and there's no VR out for the Xbox yet. Besides, those 12 months of VR exclusivity is over when the Scorpio releases which should be VR compatible as well...

I love exclusive deals as long as they make sense. Resident Evil having a portion of exclusivity for the platform it was birthed to: MAKES SENSE. Simple as that.

_-EDMIX-_2796d ago

I'm not sure this is going to hurt lots of people if you consider many people are probably going to be able to play in virtual reality to some degree on PC anyway

There's a bunch of Gamers that got Fallout 3, 4, New Vegas, Metro, Skyrim and a bunch of other games working on Oculus Rift on PC even without the developers consent lol.

Babadook72795d ago (Edited 2794d ago )

"Fallout 3, 4, New Vegas, Metro, Skyrim and a bunch of other games working on Oculus Rift on PC"

In practice it hasn't worked out too well though. VR works better when the game is made around it.

Resident Evil 4 Remake isn't the only way to enjoy this classic

Resident Evil 4 Remake isn't the only way to enjoy this classic as Capcom's 2005 has also made it into virtual reality.

Yeah buts that’s not as accessible. Idk how many people would pay for Oculus Quest 2 just go play RE4 in VR as opposed to playing it on a platform they already own

CrimsonWing69437d ago

I’m not going to lie, if you’ve played RE4 in VR it is an absolute game changer. One of my favorite VR experiences, too.

FallenAngel1984437d ago

I’m sure it’s a great experience but it alone isn’t worth the price of admission for most consumers

5 Best PSVR Games That Need PSVR 2 Ports

Alongside big hitters like Horizon Call of the Mountain, Gran Turismo 7 and Resident Evil Village, PSVR 2 is already home to some of the best PSVR games and experiences, like Moss and Tetris Effect. Better yet, some ports like Job Simulator, Song in The Smoke and Pistol Whip offer free cross-generation upgrades if you bought them for the original PSVR.

There are many PSVR titles we’d love to see leap onto PlayStation VR2. Here's our pick.

True indeed. Great picks. I'd also like Raw Data remastered, LA Noire, Iron Man, Arch Angel, Mortal Blitz and many others. We'll see what gets ported over time.

SullysCigar456d ago

There are so many that would benefit from a PSVR2 facelift with all the bells and whistles.

To add to your list, I'd also like: Hitman 1-3, Xing: The Land Beyond, The Room: VR, Red Matter, Farpoint, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, The Persistence, To the Top, Until You Fall, Arashi: Castles of Sin, Sniper Elite VR, Fracked, Dreams - I'm sure there are loads I've forgotten!

IAMTHEVOID456d ago

To add a sixth game to that list I need on ps vr2 is Vader Immortal

Abnor_Mal456d ago

Did anyone ever play Robinson: The Journey?

Oh and to add to the list I’d definitely put Bravo Team up for porting to PS5. I don’t understand why that game got so much flak when the only problem was the camera zooming out from first to third person when you had to move locations.

Other ports I would like to see wake its way over at some point would be DWVR, Immortsl Legacy, The Mages Tale, Killing Floor Incursion. Never played although I know I own them Unearthing Mars1/2 and Budget Cuts. Doom and Skyrim VR I’m not holding my breath on but would be nice.

EverydayJoe454d ago

I did. Was a beautiful game for its time.

MIDGETonSTILTS17456d ago (Edited 456d ago )

I would just add SUPERHOT.

Great list otherwise.

I’d easily pay $10 for an upgrade for any of these games, or full price for a vr2 version if I don’t own it yet.

Idc if the games are brand new, just as long as they work for my new headset.

Please update and take my money, devs 💰

Resident Evil 7 VR PC Gameplay now with Motion Controls - PrayDog's May 2022 Update

CG writes: Developer PrayDog has worked tirelessly to develop his RE Framework VR mod which converts various Capcom developed titles on PC to VR. He offers this for Free which is highly commendable. His mod has previously worked well with the Resident Evil remakes (RE2 and 3) alongside Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village even adding motion controls in some instances. Today, Praydog officially released his latest version which improves the VR motion controls in Resident Evil Village as well as adding motion control support to Resident Evil 7. We’ve played both games where you can view our more recent Resident Evil 7 VR PC gameplay impressions video and our older Resident Evil Village/Resident Evil 3 Nemesis impressions.
