Ubisoft is working on more than just Just Dance for NX.
One of the big Xbox releases heading our way in May 2024 is the long-awaited Hypercharge Unboxed, which is finally bringing its "first and third-person shooter action figure game" to Xbox consoles on Friday, May 31st.
Sadly, ahead of launch, the game's official Twitter (or "X") account has been highlighting the "trolls" who are claiming that because it's not launching on Game Pass, Hypercharge Unboxed is already set up for failure on Xbox.
Just because our indie game isn't on game pass, doesn't mean it's "dead on arrival".

We hope you still give our action figure game a try. 💚 #xbox pic.twitter.com/3D8dhlWOvZ
It's horrible what people will say, but the truth might be harsh. There is a good chance it might not do well on Xbox if it's not on GamePass. There is a strong possibility that is the case. We'll see.
When it launches on Playstation in the future you can rest assured it will sell much better. The devs have confirmed it's coming to Playstation in the future.
"It is built in the Unreal Engine 4. The game was released on the Nintendo eShop on January 31, 2020 and on Steam on April 27, 2020. The development of Hypercharge: Unboxed for the Xbox platform was officially announced on July 16, 2022, with the developers also confirming future support for the PlayStation."
I remember having this on my radar years ago for the Switch but never pulled the trigger on it. Crazy it's still not on PlayStation yet.
Epic Games is facing a $1.2 million fine by the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets over "unfair practices" in the Fortnite shop.
It might be cheaper to simply pay the fine. Fighting said fine could cost millions due to court and lawyer fees. Fortnite generates well over a 100 million in each month, so Epic has plenty of cash.
I'd fight back too. These are kinda meaningless reasons to fine someone like really for THAT. It's like they just wanted to make money or something.
The OS works, but it barely crawls along on the Nintendo Switch's older ARM chipset.
Yeaaa... no. It's cool to say that you got it running as a bragging right, but this is completely unusable. I like how he hits the screen while trying to type! X'D
"Coming from a GameSpot interview with Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot...
"The new Nintendo [console] is a fantastic machine. It's really a new approach, it's really Nintendo, [which is] coming with something new again. We love it." "
Oh boy, here we go...
My bet is on people around here spinning this into a negative by saying one of a few things, or similar others;
1. "Oh, but they said the same thing about the Wii U, so this can't be taken as a good thing."
Which makes little sense, since they can, and frequently do, say positive things about other upcoming consoles too.
2. "Oh, but Ubisoft did almost nothing with Wii U before abandoning it so they'll do the same with the NX!"
As if they don't think Ubisoft can do better on NX than they did with Wii U.
3. "Oh, but it'll probably be just more casual games, like Just Dance and Rabbids on the Wii U!"
Assassin's Creed says "Hi". Unless you're gonna claim AC is literally just casual fodder, alongside other core-oriented games from them that will hit the system?
4. "Oh, but I'll still get my Ubisoft games on "real" consoles anyways, so it doesn't matter if Ubisoft likes it!"
So much for the claims that third parties are important to Nintendo's success, then; how can they matter to Nintendo's future, after all, if you wouldn't buy a Nintendo system for them?
If you want to prove third parties matter to Nintendo, you have to be willing to support Nintendo's consoles for third party games.
Otherwise that's just a false statement.
Pick one, a variation thereof, or a statement that basically ends up leading to one of said conclusions, and I can almost promise you'll see one pop up here.
Me personally, I want to see Ubisoft make good games for the NX. And I'm glad they'll be doing something more than Just Dance.
Hopefully Watch Dogs 2 hits the NX, on time and with all the features and content.
And if they just have to go with old ports, much to my chagrin, I do hope they at least lead off with Far Cry Primal, since I enjoyed that one to a pretty decent extent on my bro's PS4 and would love to play it again, more thoroughly, on the NX.
They said the same thing about the Wii u then all of a sudden they dropped support
