Only a failure if you want it to be. The games, if you are interested in what is offered, speak for themselves and the system is worth every penny, regardless of when you buy it. If the games don't interest you, then that's OK too.

Not really begging, Nintendo should be considering this themselves if they want to profit from this game. I LOVE Bayo and everything Devil May Cry, but I sure as hell not gonna buy the failure of a console Wii U is just for it XD

I'm against emulating current gen systems and games that are still on the market, but if I weren't, I'd emulate a PS4 before the Wii U.

No one would fund Bayonetta but Nintendo. Be glad there is even a sequel around at all. If you are that hard up for a PC version, wait a few years until the WiiU emulator on PC works. Of course, buy the game now to offer what support you can for Platinum,

That just shows that you hate Nintendo more than you love this game, let alone any of the other really good ones on Wii U, and aren't giving either the credit they deserve.
A system isn't a failure if you enjoy the games on it, and calling it a gimmick box is an ignorant phrase.

I don't hate Nintendo, not at all. In fact I love Zelda more than about any series. I just hate their crap consoles. If Nintendo would release games on systems with decent performance I would happily buy many of their games.

Then you should have bought it on Wii U, because regardless of its power in comparison to the others, it still runs Bayonetta 2, and many other games, fantastically.
Put bluntly, you aren't giving the system any credit at all by degrading it with words like gimmick box, which is not just unfair but also wholly inaccurate, and are the kind of words that only those that don't know enough about it to fairly judge it, or don't do so because it's coming from Nintendo, use to describe it.

People who truly like Nintendo don't wish to see their games abandon their hardware; they wish to see Nintendo make better hardware in the future.

AMAZING game! I feel bad for the jaded people that think the wii u is a failure cuz millions of people didnt buy it. Well, millions did. Sales numbers arguments are so lame. Its like, sure my Applebees dinner didnt SELL as much as that Mcdonalds meal! But damn the quality was so much better at Applebees who TF cares that it didnt sell as much!? Wii U is a dope ass game console. I own all 3 current gen systems and honestly the wii U has a lot of great software that you cant play anywhere else. after everything iv played this gen so far, I could honestly say id give up my X1 and PS4 before I would my WU.

It's a lot more challenging than people think, and the story's funny and entertaining, too.

Millions of people bought it because they loved the games. Not because they thought the console was worth buying. It isn't competitive with other consoles at all when it comes to performance. It is a shame they are holding their own games back

It was powerful enough to make this game look gorgeous and run smooth.
People aren't giving it the credit it deserves just because it doesn't match the PS4 and XB1 in raw specs.
Specs aren't an excuse to say these games are terrible by comparison for being on the Wii U; there are plenty of fun worthwhile titles on it, and THAT is what matters.
Specs jocks need to take a seat instead of judging purely by the numbers on a sheet.
