Insomniac’s Spider-Man Could Be the Arkham Asylum the Webhead Needs

The new Spider-Man game from Insomniac Games already looks great, but it could end up being the Arkham Asylum that Spidey's been needing for years now.

I'm hoping if it's succesfull Sony might look into trying to make deals with Marvel to make other games

I would love a cinematic game universe ...maybe similar to the original Avengers but adding Spiderman as an extra

Then do an Avengers game

I would totally dig an Ant-Man co-op game with the Wasp. And then an Inhumans game.

Yes Inhumans is another one. Such a shame they are dumbing them down by putting them in crappy Agents of Shield while delaying the movie.

However with all these great choices they wouldn't be able to do what the films do and give us each film. I mean if they did that with a solo Antman/Wasp, Iron Man, Thor and Hulk game the Avengers game would be over a decade off unless they squeeze characters together. Antman and the Wasp would be together anyway so you'd have to have Iron Man, Thor and Hulk in another game together.

Although they could have the Spiderman game, then the next game would be the Avengers, then the game after would be another solo game like Iron Man, the Avengers 2, then another solo and so on.

I actually liked how they've handled the Inhumans so far, if only because it gets us ever so closer to Ms. Marvel and Inferno making their appearance in the MCU. (That, and anything that lets Brett Dalton strut around like the Matrix is a win in my book.)

A Hawkeye/Black Widow game would also be boss, if modeled in the same vein as Dishonored 2. And Black Panther, because Black F-in Panther.

No that ain't happening. That would require Sony to have all Marvel licenses in the games.

Plus that sounds like a ridiculous idea altogether. The various gameplay styles wouldn't mesh well with one another, plus we already have Marvel: Ultimate Alliance that brings together the entire universe

Spiderman doesn't need its Arkham Asylum moment. It's already had some really good games. Spiderman 2 instantly springs to mind.

I have such high hopes for this game and the other Marvel games that could come to Sony's machine. Insomniac will hit a homerun with this one. Only good things will follow.
