Due to next gen consoles we have seen games that have blown us away and games that have failed miserably. Next Gen means games should be better than ever, yet most of these games still haven't lived up to the words 'Next Gen'. Read more in the full article.
Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "When shopping for new video games you can often trust the name publisher or developer on the box to be an indication of the quality of the game. Names like Nintendo, Square Enix, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Capcom, Xbox Game Studios and Sega are world famous because they helped shape the industry by releasing some of the most defining video games of all time. Though sometimes even these great gaming houses stumble and put out a stinker."
Splatterhouse remake . Loved the og’s at the arcade growing up . Hell the best thing about the remake was the og,s were included . And left alive by Square . That game had so much potential , but the gameplay was worse horrendous .
I'm pretty much certain that any Sonic game that comes out will be terrible, I've not enjoyed one since the original side-scrolling days of the MegaDrive.
Benjamin Rivers has suggested that it is “totally possible” for two of his titles — Alone With You and Home — to be ported to Nintendo Switch.
I recently published an article about beating my Steam backlog by getting organised and the first game I’ve completed with this new approach is Home.
I chose Home not because of its production values or reviews, but because, well, it’s short. I needed a game to start my new approach on the right foot and read that Home takes less than two hours to beat.
Whatever my reasons for finally installing Home, I found it to be an enjoyable yet flawed title.
im somewhat new to N4G but i did hear that last year this site was full of articles bashing the PS3 / Sony, and lately alot has been directed at the 360, but this article? a complete waste of my time.
Home? Nothing like bashing a game that isn't even released yet. jeez...
Haze... yeah, can kind of understand that, but never knew there was alot of "hype" around it.
Lair. I figured a game about dragons was gonna be bad, and the sixaxis is terrible with this game, but christ this game came out what? 2 years ago? give it a rest.
2.40 update a disappointment? im almost positive everyone has enjoyed the update.
this article should not get approved. and i should not have wasted my time leaving a comment. lol oh well.
been MGS4 (Extended Cut-Scenes, etc.) and on the Xbox360 Video Gaming Console it would have to be GTA4 (after the intial few plays the "Magic" of it wore off)
A game?
Home delays are beyond laughable at this point.
Haze was a mediocre game that did not deliver on any level. I have lost respect for Free Radical because of it.
I disagree completely on Lair though. The game was very fun, the story well executed, and the presentation and production values were through the roof. It was very clear that the majority of gamers were not very happy with a "forced" control scheme. In my opinion this was the only reason the game was received so poorly.
Firmware 2.40 worked flawlessly for me, but it is a valid criticism overall. Apart from in-game XMB, the rest of the features were not delivered. Custom soundtracks across all games being the one that hurts the most. Any firmware that bricks your console is going to take some heat.
I will not get started on disappointing games, GTA IV takes the cake.
So far this generation hasn't really done anything groundbreaking. It has just been able to give us many solid games.
