With the imminent release of the sequel to last generation's sci-fi masterpiece Human Revolution, where the heck is all of the hype surrounding it?
The Epic Games Store has a new free game, and they want to augment your life with it.

The og deus ex is magical. Im also very exited about mass effect legendary edition from the gp. Its next on my playlist never played mass effect game before.
Why aren't there more? A Star Trek RPG for one. Or something with non humanoid aliens?
I really hope Naughty Dog is doing a Sci-Fi game. As a lover all most things RPG I would love to see Naughty Dog quality in an RPG.
Mary DeMarle led narrative on modern Deus Ex games and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Hopefully it's for lead writer on Mass effect. But that would mean it's way off.
Regardless...i mostly loved Guardians for the story so it's a good get from Bioware.
I wonder if Embracer group is slimming down Crystal Dynamics...
Well Bioware has fallen so far off, its finally good to see them getting some talent where they need it most. First order of business: FIX MASS EFFECT story....immediately
It is very quiet. But is that a good thing?
I think I prefer the lack of hype in some ways. Those who are excited for this game know when it is coming out and know that they will be playing it regardless. I also think that these days hype can make you sick of a game before it's even released because it is all you have seen for the last three months. I really enjoyed Human Revolution and I'm looking forward this one too, hype or not.
All the advertisements I have seen and of course, the human augmentation videos they post have made it pretty hyped. They have spent a lot of production work on their short films and ads.
Human Revolution never garnered the sales that it deserved, despite widespread acclaim from critics and gamers alike (aside from the poorly-designed boss battles). Mankind Divided won't be much different, I fear. There's a fair bit of solid marketing going on, but the series hasn't nailed widespread appeal.
Still, I can't wait for it. Looks superb!
Deus Ex has its following but it's never been a massive seller. The team at Square Enix Montreal are superb developers and probably don't get enough credit, partly because they live in the shadow of the Japanese side of the company. Im absolutely pumped for it and I'll be sad if people don't go and play it.. if you want solid game play and narrative set in a very fleshed out world, then Mankind Divided is the one.
