The icing on the cake would be if Sony / Valve allow for a Steam Link app much like it is for the Quest 3. Likely wishful thinking, though.
Warner Bros. Discovery is closing down Adult Swim Games, delisting its published games. Thus putting Rick and Morty VR in jeopardy.
I don't handle motion-sickness very well, and normally I'd avoid any type of event that could possibly cause it, but damn; the whole thought of being fully immersed in the cockpit of a spaceship and engaging in space dog fights is something I've dreamed about since I was a kid. I don't know if Virtual Reality will take off like all these hardware manufacturers are banking on, but it sounds like it has more potential now than ever before. I may have to hit up a retailer to try it out. I just hope they have a bucket nearby!
Glad he enjoyed it.
Hopefully VR (in general) does very well.
Very good read! I think there are 2 types of motion sickness: There is the type of motion sickness that is actually caused by the games frame rate or other factors. And then there is the type of motion sickness you get from a game like ever that actually does such a good job of tricking your brain into believing you are in a space ship, rolling, flipping and moving at high speeds. I played Eve VR on the playstation and I also felt a little bumpy in the tummy, but it was totally different than the type of motion sickness I used to get from playing non-vr games like Medal of Honor. Playstation VR is for real and October 13 can't come soon enough!
Good to read another PSVR experience which has again turned out to be positive. The minnow of the VR world is winning fans and its technical shortcomings (when compared with the Rift and Vive) do not seem to be an obstacle. I do think that VR will be very successful, not only in gaming but other aspects of our lives such as medicine, travel and education. My closest friend who is disabled is looking forward to VR both as a gaming tool as well as to enable him to experience things that he can no longer hope to (such as skiing, travelling to remote parts of the world, etc.). I suspect the PSVR will be the first release and as VR industry matures and adopts common technologies, we will see further iterations from Sony that will improve the experience even more. I am so impatient for October 13th!
Another good PSVR experience. I am glad to hear that the majority, which is what matters, are having a good time with it. I am ready for it and my only concern right now is from all the games available at launch, which one to buy.
