Metroid fan here since the beginning. Still waiting for that super Metroid level of awesomeness that the series needs. As a follower of homebrew and fan made projects like He man, marvel first alliance 2, world heroes supreme justice, GI Joe, fighter's history revenge, final fight gold super, etc,I hope the next game really gives it to the fans.

Fusion and zero mission were great and this guy is pushing the limits of the Metroid 2 remake with passion. https://m.youtube.com/watch...
Compared to my Gameboy then

I used to play my gameboy to death with M2, super Mario, Tetris, star trek, mega man,etc back in the military.3d ones were decent but not SM level.I want Nintendo to spend as much time making a Metroid as they have spend as much time on Zelda and Mario

Other M is freaking rad. (gameplay) (sound track)

It's just a shame its story was lumbered so horribly with all that needless baggage.

Agreed I own the game and hardware play it using the WiiU Pro Controller (right stick aim) through emulation at 1080p looks great.

I don't even think it would be that hard. Metroid is loved as 2D and a 3D franchise - so why not just pick one and go for it again?

Metroid is dead.

And Federation Force painted a perfect picture of how Nintendo want to use the IP.

I love metroid, but the fact that we've gone an entire generation without even a hint of Prime 4 or a new metroidvania style 2D adventure saddens me deeply.

The NX is the last ray of hope for a new metroid, as if we don't see a new entry there, it may just end up taking the same path as F-Zero.

How Long To Beat Every Metroid Game

The "Metroid" series has been challenging players with exploring alien caverns and stealing their weapons since the first game blasted onto the NES in 1986. Since then, lead protagonist Samus Aran has managed to survive over a dozen encounters with the life-draining Metroids and the Space Pirates who seek to control them. The job hasn't always been easy — in fact, Samus has done some pretty terrible things over the years in the line of duty — but gamers have always been more than happy to help her save the galaxy.

Metroid: The Unsung Hero of Nintendo's Trinity

The Metroid series has heavily influenced gaming as a whole, but it often goes overlooked in comparison to other Nintendo franchises.

I greatly admire the Metroid Prime Trilogy. However, I don’t think Metroid is a big enough seller to be considered part of the “Nintendo Trinity”. Mario, Pokémon and Zelda sell way more and are more consistently released than Metroid.

Nintendo’s Trinity is undoubtedly Mario, Pikachu & Link in that order
