Good choice to pick Tomb Raider Legends as a "got it right" re-boot pick and not the other reboot.

"Some of you reading this will be saying “Why is the 2013 re-release not here instead”? Put simply that reboot was glutinous. The series didn’t need it particularly – Crystal Dynamics just liked the look of Uncharted and fancied riding that wave. With Tomb Raider: Legends however the entire future of the franchise was on the line. This game needed to be good and needed to show that Lara Croft had a place in modern gaming."

Absolutely nailed it.

I'm not a huge fan of where the franchise has gone. I appreciate the quality, but I'm just not a fan of the style they've gone with.

Same here. I do like the new TR games it just does not feel like TR anymore but an Uncharted clone.

Same here. I love Legends and Anniversary. I bought the collection on PS3. The new reboot however, eh...while looks good and presumablynplays good, just doesn't feel like Tomb Raider of old. Can't bring myself to finish the first I got from PS+. So I'm not really interested in RoTR. But I love Temple of Osiris though...

Legends and TR Anniversary were both really good games. It sucks that they did not continue with the formular in them

Completely disagree. The tomb raider released in 2013 was the best in the series, ROTTR is also a very good game.

Wolfenstein: the New Order, is a godsend. The best shooter in years.

Ratchet & Clank (PS4) is fantastic, funny, and fun as hell

WellyUK2831d ago

Wolfentstein was good but the best shooter in years no way, just because its the only SP focused FPS in a while doesn't make it the best in years. It's way over blown like the recent DOOM has been. Solid games but far from the amazing games people seem to say they are.
