A nice way to end out the series, and one of the most 'highly polished' games I've ever played - still had some faults though, and I think that ND were cut a little bit too much slack for what is essentially another cover shooter (albeit a damn good looking one).

ravinash2860d ago

I think one of the main issues that ND had to deal with was that this is an Uncharted game.
While they put everything they can to make it the best Uncharted game, they were still limited to the mechanics of what makes uncharted 'Uncharted'.
Now that they have finished the series, this should free them up to create something new without needing to stay true to the IP that they have already established.

And thank heavens for that! Uncharted 4 grabbed me straight from the beginning and kept me playing. With The Last of Us I struggled mid-way thru to continue...

Huh, people disagree with me, either they didn't like Uncharted 4 or they disagree with the fact *I* struggled mid-way thru to continue with TLOU :)

Look, I never said TLOU is bad, I, personally, just liked UC4 more and never once had issues to continue with it unlike I had with TLOU at one point...

I'm not the only one than. I really didn't like TLoU but I wanted to play it through because everyone was praising it like it's the second coming.

To me it was a dark, depressing, boring The Walking Dead copy game.

Uncharted on the other hand is fun and interesting adventure that does not make me feel sad and depressed constantly, in fact it makes me feel happy.

Kirchh772859d ago

I'm opposite. I couldn't stand Uncharted 4. Played through TLoU twice.

Grap2859d ago

Uncharted 4 was the weakest in the series. TLoU was on another level i consider it one of the best last gen.

Lordani662860d ago

Yeah, TLOU was cool at the beginning, got mediocre in the middle but got epic at the end (or even 3/4th of the game). It's a mixbag to me, while U4 was awesome in it's entirety (maybe slighlty too long beginning, but nothing to worry about).

Adrian_v012859d ago

The story of Uncharted 4 was weak compared to prior titles. It was nothing special and kind of predictive. The number and difficulty of puzzles to solve was unsatisfying as well.

Aenea2858d ago

But if a game is considered good is not just about the story! Otherwise we would all be playing visual novels or somesuch.

TLOU's story might have been better than UC4's but I liked the overall game more...

I love the Uncharted franchise but this one just wasn't that great. I still had a lot of fun with it though.

Inzo2859d ago

Uncharted 4 is on par with TLOU if not better and I can say this without a second thought because TLOU is one of the greatest modern day games I have ever played. But the fact is that its not really fair to compare the two, even though U4 borrows some TLOUs mechanics they very very different games.

hell nahh uncharted 4 deff not even close of how good TLOU is.

The best games of their generation too. Its incredible how great most if not all of playstations games are. Whether you like the stories or not you cant deny the quality of each title.

Hated tlou part 2. But im going to buy it when it is cheap enough because i want to play the remastered content for $10 extra dollars. Theyre adding a roguelike mode...thats going to be fun!
