I downloaded and still haven't played it
Maybe one day I'll try it

DragonbornZ2851d ago

I tried it, but I didn't like it nearly as much as FH2.
Only played for about half an hour tho. Should probably play a bit more.

I've downloaded it, and uninstalled it after the first mission. Forza horizon was fun, but this wasn't (at least not for me). Don't know why they even tried to get a story around a racing game.

Universal 082851d ago

Of course the first mission isnt fun, its only a first mission. You didnt even give it a real chance. Play it more, like 5 missions, than it will get better for you, I promise. If not than you can punch me in the face.

Mulando2848d ago

@Universal08
I know, but I really disliked the first mission, so I had no impluses to play it anymore. Also the setting isn't mine. I can waste my time with much better titles ;).

2cents2851d ago

But how many played it for more than 30mins?

I lasted about 20mins before deleting it from my HDD. What a piece of poo.

2851d ago
Profchaos2851d ago

I got about 10 minutes in before deleteing it

thexmanone2851d ago

Ok so you don`t like it, At least it was free and you had a chance to try it. I enjoyed it and did not delete it.

XanderZane2851d ago

Played it more then an hour and I haven't deleted it. Going to keep playing it for now.

jjb19812851d ago

I deleted it from my memory.

JEECE2851d ago (Edited 2851d ago )

Uhhh 21ish million people have Xbox Ones, presumably the vast majority have Gold (who is really buying an Xbox to only play single-player games?), and only 3 million chose to add this free game to their libraries. How is that a good number? I'm sure there are some paying customers who are oblivious to the free games (I know there are on PSN, or Rocket League wouldn't keep selling on PS4), but I'm sure a lot of free games on Gold do better.

Movefasta19932851d ago

it's alright,i have xbox live and i haven't downloaded it.

JEECE2851d ago

That's what I'm saying. You couldn't even be bothered to take their game for free.

Movefasta19932851d ago

I don't like the game lol what you want me to do?

JEECE2851d ago

That is my point. Probably 15-18 million Gold users had the opportunity to take a game for FREE, and only 3 million did. Like you, most people didn't even want the game for free, so these numbers are bad, not good. If they made Foriza Horizon free, it would do way better, even though more people already own it. I don't understand why that is so hard to comprehend. Everyone is so wired to start being defensive on here that their basic reading comprehension skills are suffering.

TheCommentator2851d ago

I bought an XB1 to play single player games. I've played more years on Xbox than my total number of online matches in multiplayer games, plus I don't like that many of Sony's exclusives and like MS exclusives better. Funny thing, I know, but it's called choice.

JEECE2851d ago

I think somehow everyone is taking my comment as a slam on the Xbox and its users, when it was really a comment on The Crew, and the lack of interest in it. I didn't say single-player only Xbox users were nonexistent, just rare. You can't deny that multiplayer on Live is a very big part of Xbox's success over the last three gens. And I don't even know how you got that I was comparing the quality of exclusives. It is telling that you feel the need to respond to an argument I didn't even make, though.

Kiwi662851d ago (Edited 2851d ago )

Have you not considered that most xb1 owners already have the game , as in they brought it the day it came out so why would they get again and the 3 million is most likely those who never had the game so they got it when it was free , try using some logic next time , ....... to your reply below who said anything about it selling 10 million just on xb

JEECE2851d ago

No. I haven't considered that over 10 million people bought the Crew on Xbox One alone. That would make if the best selling game on the system (hint:it isn't).

JEECE2851d ago

Haha nice edit. You intitally said that the "majority" of Xbox owners bought The Crew (hence the over 10 million number). When I pointed out how ridiculous that was, you changed "majority" to "some." If you are going to say nonsensical things, at least stand by them.

TheCommentator2850d ago

"I think somehow everyone is taking my comment as a slam on the Xbox..."

Here's why: "Who is really buying an Xbox to only play single player games?"

Why would you find it telling about me proclaiming that my preferences are both single player and Xbox franchises? I directly responded to your post! I didn't deny multiplayer is big on Xbox, any more than COD is big for FPS, but I don't engage in either one. Popular means nothing to me because I play what I like, that's all.

JEECE2850d ago

That's all good for you. But you are the exception. Notice that I didn't say "all" Xbox One owners have gold, I said the vast majority do. That is in no way controversial or negative.

And I find it telling that you started defending the quality of Xbox exclusives versus PlayStation exclusives when I never brought that up. That was not a direct response to my post.

TheCommentator2849d ago

You're so right, it's quite telling that I justified my post by announcing my preference of single player games, when the vast majority of people who engage in single player prefer Playstation. Also, it's perfectly fine for you to spew nonsense about Xbox without being a hypocrite. Okay, got it. Thanks for clearing that up.

Xbox President Sarah Bond's Bloomberg Interview Is Corporate Fakery At Its Best

Saad from eXputer: "After Arkane Austin & Tango were shutdown, Xbox President Sarah Bond spoke with Bloomberg in what I believe to be utter corporate fakery."

gold_drake21h ago

im not really surprised by that, shes always been more a "let me talk about something else than what u want to know" kinda gal

Cacabunga14h ago

If what they are doing is that good, what’s the point of hiding the true story?

anast18h ago

She's a caricature of the shareholders.

PRIMORDUS16h ago

"Shareholders" I call them cancer, they are already rich to begin with but need more and more. It's like a disease, with no cure.

__y2jb26m ago

If you have a pension then you are likely to be a shareholder in these big tech companies yourself. To demonize them as 'heartless rich people' shows you have no idea what you're talking about.

Leeroyw14h ago

I own shares in game companies. I'm not anything near a major share holder. I just want them to make good games and be successful because of that. I think it's the senior management that's the problem. They are the ones that should be making it clear to the shareholders what creates growth and ensures a future of their business. Not this weasle words garbage that she did on the interview. It was horrific. I don't know a shareholder that would be happy with any of them for this.

Profchaos12h ago(Edited 12h ago)

Same and I'm not rich by any stretch like most people's I'm just trying to keep my head above water these days most company's shareholders are made up of everyday people it's amazing how companies think we want something but the reality is we don't.

Disney are probably the worse at the moment it's shareholders voted on ending a lot of the crap and outing the current execs the execs turned around and said no we disagree with the shareholder vote

PRIMORDUS8h ago

I meant at the rich fucks who have millions in the bank already. They are making so much per year, that if they don't make what they are expecting they go into a panic, when in reality it will not even hurt them at all. Those are greedy assholes.

CrimsonWing6918h ago

Yea, it was and it’s insulting that they think we’re dumb enough to fall for this. Look, the truth was you took a gamble on these studios and while they released some games to critical praise and great reception they just aren’t bringing in a ROI. Be transparent, you’re not a politician.

Just tell everyone you spend money on projects big and small and when money isn’t being made you go over the potential of revenue a studio can bring in vs those that can’t and make the hard decision to chop them.

She says this whole thing about “success” doesn’t fit one meaning for each studio. Well yea, a small budget production isn’t going to expect to sell the same as a large budget production.

One thing I wish they did though was let Tango be an independent studio.

TheGamingHounds17h ago

disheartening to see no regard for the human cost of business anymore
the bad decisions and judgements of these CEOs severely impact the frontliners
these fake responses are just salt on wounds

RoadRacer17h ago

imagine havin the audacity to say "we need more games like hifi rush" right after closing the studio that made it lol
followin up with this show of "deflecting every question" was in poor taste

Alot’s changed in 25 years. We have games with $300 mill budgets, people not interested in games other than Fortnite and Minecraft, the older generation of gamers giving up the hobby or dying off, a period of super bad inflation where the industry decided to hike up prices on games, Gamepass harming game sales, GaaS games being pushed left and right with obnoxious monetization and worse looking/playing (Suicide Squad vs Arkham Knight).

The industry is just shite right now. Games ain’t selling, games cost massive amounts, businesses can’t bleed money and this is what happens. Part of it is on them and part of it is on consumers not buying.

Yi-Long8h ago

Consumers ain't buying because of what they're selling; There is no new SSX or Burnout, everything is now Online Required, everything is 'service', etc.

Indies are still delivering the goods, perhaps even better than ever, because those are often the guys and gals who know what they want to make and just make that and hopefully we dig it as well and support it ...

... but when you look at those multi-million budget AAA games, are they improving on what we have had before? Is the new Forza Motorsport better than a Forza Mototsport 4? Is Halo Infinite better than Halo 3? Is Dragon Age 2 such a huge improvement over the first Dragon Age? Etcetc.

Yeah, graphics have gotten better, worlds have gotten better, but I think a gaming generations stands or falls with diversity and experiences, and a few gens ago we had access to whatever we wanted, so if we wanted a boxing game we picked up one of the boxing games, if we wanted snowboarding we'd pick up one of the snowboarding games, if we wanted to do a rythm game we had DJ Hero, or Guitar Hero, or Rockband. If we wanted to sneak around we had Splinter Cell or MGS or whatever.

We had variety and we had options, and that makes or breaks a generation, imo. You're in a foodcourt of games and they're serving all kinds of different cuisines, and so you'd pick and choose whatever you felt like that day.

Right now, you're in a restaurant, and you're only allowed to pick from one menu, and there's a dress-code, and you have to register, and you have to stay in your seat, etc etc.
