In before the inevitable "where is the single player story DLC?"

They not doing it, and they'll get away with it because they are R*

OneLove2859d ago

Get away with it? Since when did they have to do single player anyways....

Psychotica2859d ago

Personally I have grown tired of this game since I like to play solo and R* doesn't give a shit about solo gamers on or offline. I can't wait for Mafia III..

yeahokwhatever2859d ago

GTA5's solo content is far more than you should expect out of Mafia. Unless you're one who loves being disappointed.

GrimmyReaper2859d ago

Too bad online content is still very meh.
There are only a few fun missions, but most other activities are just boring mutiplayer modes that are much better in other games. Like a jack of all trades but master of none

yeahokwhatever2859d ago

"Master of none" in this case is "ALLLLLLMOST MASTER IN EVERYTHING" which makes it significantly better than the typical "master of none" people reference. The driving, shooting, etc. are all above par. Sure, the racing isnt the single best racing experience, but when I can use the money I earned racing(and having a great time) to buy tons of other things (houses, cars, mods, clothes, guns, ammo, explosives, boats, businesses, etc) that all have their own impact on the game, it has more value for me. I have a TON of fun doing heists for instance, as well as the CEO associate gigs. Its a blast. AND there is user created content. so....yeah.

Deadpooled2859d ago

Or..... I can just use any online exploit or glitch to rack up easy cash eg the blue yellow Hummer bridge one, or a online cash generator.

GrimmyReaper2858d ago

Sure but that's your opinion.
For me though, when I say Master of none, I mean that
- there are races but there are racing games that are far better
- there is tennis but there are tennis games that are far better
- there are multiplayer modes (team death match etc) but there are shooters, first and third person that are far better
- the minigames are all watered down versions of other small games

And while I think the heists are kinda cool, there are only 5 of them. And don't get me started on the user generated content. Most of the time it's way too hard or way too easy in my experience.

And one more thing. If people refer to it as Master of None, then yeah. It IS a master of none to us. Have you heard of different opinions? It means people don't think the same as you and just like you probably love GTA Online and that's fine, it's fine if we aren't that enthralled about what's on offer.

GrimmyReaper2858d ago

Excuse me?
Look back at the comment and you will see that I respect your opinion if you find this the best game ever.
When I say "Too bad online content is still very meh", I am talking about my own opinion. It isn't a straight up fact and I made that clear in the second comment. I explained why I feel it's a jack of all trades but master of none.

I believe you didn't notice your own words, specifically
"which makes it significantly better than the typical "master of none" people reference."

So because people reference it like that, they are wrong to feel that way? And you tell me to get off the internet. As if you own it.

And lastly, looking at the comments you make, you love to piss on people's opinions only to force down your own as facts.
But I fear there is no point in having a discussion with you when you aren't open to debate but then again, this is the internet.
So I'll just end the discussion here and bid you a good day.

I wish they would make a single player DLC and not this crappy gta online stuff.

yeahokwhatever2858d ago

500M in microtransactions = nobody getting single player DLC. Thats how this works. If gamers want single player DLC, spend ALL YOUR TIME in single player, its being tracked.

The Name "Embracer Group" Is No More, But Don't Say You Didn't See It Coming

A reckless buying spree only to jeopardize it all, Embracer Group's heinous practices have done a lot of damage; it had the downfall coming.

mastershredder1d 20h ago

THEY. It's a collective of investors that give no f-s unless the monkey dances for money and delivers. downfall? Urm.. dude... do you understand this is a rinse and repeat process? They won and bailed before plane crashed, the working industry did not. People saw investment money and sold themselves and the industry out like hot real estate, and now look at it. Honestly, you should be more upset with the studios that jumped on board for the carrots rather than those that were handing them out.

Knightofelemia1d 16h ago

Seen it coming. When a fool spends money with out a plan and purchases every thing they see. Those they have purchased feel the ramifications. Now Embracer has to sell off studios to make up for their stupidity. I am just glad Gearbox went to Take Two and not to someone like say Tencent. What Embracer did was stupid and because of their stupidity bottom feeders like Tencent will be circling around picking at the scraps. Next time if there is a next time fully plan something out before whipping out the cheque book. Figure out how you can utilize the company, figure out how they can fit in, figure out how you can work with them and how their games can fit in nicely with the purchase. Being a dumbass with out a plan and a big cheque book does bite you and those around you in the ass.

How Many More Victims, Like Garry's Mod, Will Nintendo's Hurtful Crusade Create?

Hanzala from eXputer: "As Nintendo takes out 20 years' worth of stuff from Garry's Mod, I watch in shock, thinking why it continues to hurt and discourage its fans."

RiseNShine10h ago(Edited 10h ago)

The irony that some of the most disgusting business practices come from companies like Disney or Nintendo, i can't even begin to understand what terrible damage was Garrys Mod making to Nintendo bottom line, imho they're getting pretty nervous about where they're heading in the future, handhelds are no longer something exclusive to Nintendo, from Steam Deck to many others, now you can play the latest games and pay a fraction of the price on Steam sales, so it's up to their exclusives, which just on their own would make hard to justify purchasing a closed overpriced hardware with outrageous price policies (Super Mario Odyssey is still 60 euro 6 years later!), and as a home console they're always underperforming compared to Sony or Xbox.

gold_drake4h ago(Edited 4h ago)

i cam guarantee you, that their exclusives alone is what drives switch sales. they sell in the 10s of millions of copies.

nintendo created their franchises to be sort of nostalgia driven, exclusive only on nintendo.

people will always buy the pkmn games as they always bring in new younger fans amd is family friendly

mario kart, the same thing, mario games in general.

zelda games are system sellers. animal crossing for the casual gamers.

nintendo doesnt need third vame devs essentially. they made sure with the switch and the limitations that they looked more to pc ps and xbox.

its sad, but nintendo is more than fine with what they're doing. they positioned themselves to appeal to the more casual gamers.

but to your point, im not sure why they're doing this rly.

Inverno2h ago

Look at how they handled Nintendo games being streamed or uploaded on YouTube in the past. They killed Yuzu and Citra even when they had nothing to do with ToTK being leaked, not to mention it was basically unplayable on emulation the week it was leaked. Smash Bros tournament, that was fairly recent. They shut down their online services without any care for purchases made. I bought a switch after skipping their last 2 consoles and handhelds but I don't plan on buying anything Nintendo in the future. They take things to the extremes, they legitimately hate their fans. They're honestly right up there with the likes of Acti, EA, and Ubi, only difference is that they disguise themselves as being family friendly all the while being shady.
