Lost Sea Review | Xbox One UK

Playing Lost Sea, there’s something reminiscent of being 6-years-old again, sitting cross-legged in front of the screen jostling with the joypad of the Mega Drive/N64/Playstation (delete according to age). There's almost a sense of child-like naivety in just how simple this sea-faring adventure is. Lost Sea comes from indie developer eastasiasoft, with a pretty experienced and talented team behind it.

What Lost Sea has managed is to be borderline nostalgic, and brilliantly so, without being self-conscious or post-modern about its child-like gameplay. There’s clear room for improvement, not least in the AI department and building on those sparse mechanics, but ultimately it’s worth the voyage.

Lost Sea (Nintendo Switch / PS4) - Review | GamePitt

Rob Pitt writes: Lost Sea is a top-down action-adventure game with an emphasis on exploration as you venture through the perilous islands within the Bermuda Triangle. The game came out a while ago on PS4, PC and Xbox One and I’ve been playing it on my PS4 for about a year now. However, Eastasiasoft has recently ported it over to the Switch, along with a few new features, and were kind enough to provide us with a copy to review for them. As I don’t have a Switch, my friend Amy has kindly agreed to take a look at it for me and offer her own perspective on how it plays on the Switch.
