Hollywood just can't seem to get video game adaptations right. With a constant stream of poorly produced films, one has to wonder what exactly is the issue.
A return of the classics Return to the mid-'90s, where two storied universes from Blizzard Entertainment began, as three legacy titles launch today on Battle.net for the first time! This year is the Warcraft universe’s 30th anniversary–the perfect time to revisit the first tales of Azeroth–and hot off the heels of the release.
This should make fans and collectors very happy. PureArts & Ubisoft Announce Assassin’s Creed Hunt for the Nine 1/6 Scale Diorama Assassin's Creed Hunt for the Nine 1/6 Scale Diorama available for pre-order on January 25.
In a very recent development, Capcom has announced that the VR mode for the “Resident Evil 4” remake is scheduled to be added on the 8th of December as an update and will support the full main story campaign, offering an unprecedented gaming experience to its users. However, RE Series fans have another reason to rejoice as there is a possibility that RE Series might get a VR Version in the future.
The real reason is because they keep getting handed off to horrible directors/writers I'm sure as a hell if they got some competent people these things could work. Looking at Assassins Creed the only notable thing the writers and director have done was last years Macbeth, which was received as good but not great and that being the only big thing they were attached to isnt very reassuring. As for Agent 47 the director was a nobody and the guy who wrote it was also responsible for writing Xmen Origins: Wolverine, same goes for Warcraft a bunch of nobody Directors/writers.
Real reasons...not that hard to figure out
1) Terrible writers who have never played the games...hell look up the writers for Assassins Creed for example...

Exodus Gods and Kings, The Transporter Refuelled, New York Minute a crappy Mary Kate & Ashley film. The others have been average at best.
Decent director or actor it doesn't matter when you have a crap story.
2) They never and I mean NEVER stick to the source material. They think straying from it is a good thing because gamers don't want to see something exactly the same on screen. However who gives a shit...it's not for us it's for a new audience who haven't played them. Did Harry Potter change a shit load of core story points? What about Lord of the Rings? No they didn't and that's why they worked. I would happily watch a condensed down version of Uncharted Drakes Fortune with almost 90% of the original script being used with the sections added to prolong the game and gameplay sections removed. It's good writing why change it.
3) Some of the actors they get are terrible and are really miscast for their chosen role.
That's it...that's all.
Something so easy and they keep screwing up.
