I still like playing the original on my NES.

I grew up with a lot of these games but I can't for the life if me go back with games like Bloodborne in my library...

It's really a double edged sword...

For me it's more of a nostalgia for the era and my childhood, even if I haven't played the game it feels good to go back and appreciate what I could have played as a child.. No NES, but to be honest I'd rather play on my GBA/DS or PSP.

Excellent write up. Final Fantasy still holds a special place in my heart and will always be my favorite in the series.
