I suppose that's why graphics aren't that great. Just hope that means it will run on low end PC's too.

See and that's the problem, people wanna make huge worlds but they look like crap and are empty. I would rather have a world that's more detailed and compact than a empty open world.

This game also looks like its being overly stupid and thinking its funny when its just stupid now like Saints row 3-4 was...

"What the flaming balls is that"
That is a line or very similar to line that this frank has in this game......

Alexious2904d ago

Dead Rising was always a bit silly, though. That's something franchise fans are well accustomed to.

Erik73572904d ago (Edited 2904d ago )

Yea well silly and stupid are two different things.

Like Silly is stupidness with humor to it....this is not funny, its just uncreative stupidity made for 12 year olds.

Shubhendu_Singh2904d ago

Exactly.
Though I still want my games to look pretty, DR4 is I guess under acceptable range. Could have been better.

I have never played a DR game before so, Does the story takes place in a MALL ? (what does that "mall to be huge" means)

@Fries1223

"Stupid" is a word used for something having some sort of intelligence deficit. Considering the team who made this game is made up mostly of college grads who have made three successful iterations in the franchise, and is now making a fourth (presumably to be successful), it's pretty safe to say that "stupidity" is not the case here.

What is though, is the fact that you don't like this type of game. That's fine, you can have an opinion. For instance, I hate football games. But do I go on Madden articles to flame like a little baby? Nope. Also, the funny thing about babies is their lack of intelligence, the irony there, ey?

This was just a video showing off different things that you can do with the combat. Just because they chose to not stay within the realms of realism 100%, it doesn't mean they chose a "stupid" route, it just means it's not within your tastes.

Because of the armor? I don't think it looks anywhere near as obnoxious as Saint's Row. The suit of armor is a little much, but we don't know what's required to get that. Of course if you get it in the first 20 minutes of gameplay, that would be kinda lame. But if it took forever to unlock this suit, or you had to beat the game or something? Idk, just depends.

Bummer on no cross play, will check it out on PC if the price is right

FITgamer2904d ago

Just make the PC verision 60 fps and i'll be happy. The biggest flaw for me with DR3 was it was locked at 30fps and was still a stuttering mess, other than that I enjoyed it.

Garethvk2904d ago

It looked pretty much more of the same when I saw it at E3 and that is far from a bad thing.

Ptous61152904d ago

This is bullshit. Who gets hung for this decision. Capcom or Microsoft? Sonya exclusive street fighter 4 got unreal 4 and we get the same game and same engine.

Josh Sawyer Reflects on Design Evolution: From Icewind Dale to Pentiment

Josh Sawyer is a name that has been familiar to RPG fans for decades. He's worked on Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights 2, Alpha Protocol, Fallout: New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity, and most recently Pentiment. How did he get into game development, how has his design philosophy changed over the years, and why did he decide to do Pentiment a little differently?

thorstein22h ago(Edited 22h ago)

Those are some great games. Icewind Dale I & II are underrated.

If Larian made Icewind Dale III, I'd lose my mind.

What a fantastic, thorough interview.
