Of course it is, every game releasing there is going to take some kind of hit, but this games budget would be far less than TR's or any of the other games releasing later this year (yes even though it has been in development for so long, the majority of it nothing was getting worked on), so it doesn't need to sell loads out the gate to be considered a success, it's also vastly different to anything else releasing later this year, so isn't really challenging the same audience. Will probably have good legs too, if it's as good as Team Ico's past work.

I think you are right. This game is not going to be a huge seller. How do you market against those big titles it is impossible. However I am very tempted by the statue in the collectors though it looks amazing

Tomb raider was DOA because it was going against big shooter type games that historically tend to be the only kind of games that the Xbox crowd buys. PlayStation gamers have always preferred a different variety of games hence why games like LBP or Ratchet and Clank sell well. Tomb Raider was also synonymous with PlayStation and thus most fans of the series are on PlayStation. I guarantee Tomb Raider will sell better on PS4 if it ever comes out than it ever did on Xbox.

I don't see many BF1 players playing this nor do I see more TLG players playing BF1. Some will but the cross over isn't huge, As I will be owning both for sure.

It doesn't matter. This game was never going to be a mega-seller, even if it came out 5 years ago. It is a niche title. Which is great! I love games that are about more than just running around with a gun or hacking and slashing. But yeah....guns/hack/slash make money. That isn't going to change. But why do I care how much money a game makes? I just want it to be fun.
