LoL pro steps down naming Overwatch as one of his reasons

The mental toughness to keep to one game and live and breathe it almost all day every day must be immense. I think we all would like to get paid to play games but it seems it is never as rosy as you would hope it to be.

The first few weeks I was hooked on it and it is all I played, lately though I have found some balance between it and CSGO and some mobas. Just not enough time in the day to play all the games I want to. A real first world problem.

If you're playing on console, maybe it's more fun with the pacing of mouse/kb players on PC. Also ultra fun if you have a lot of friends to play with you on your team and talk to via voice.

@senor, I cared enough to agree with you. Yup absolutely banal article. Its funny how Overwatch gets all the love even though its barely a shell of a game whilst the clearly superior Battleborn gets none. If Blizzard released a fart in a box some people would lap it up.

He hasn't been successful on a team since SK. He's a skilled player but a very emotional player. Also it has to do more with losing 90% of scrim games than playing Overwatch. The last team he had success on was a year ago for one split and it went downhill from there. He's been on 3 teams since then and have all been unsuccessful. And I should mention he has only played for Origin for 1 week which might be the shortest time I've seen a pro player play for a team. Back in February, he almost had to step down because he was called to serve in the Greek army for nine months but was eventually granted temporary deferment of military service.

Once you start getting paid to game and it becomes a job all the fun and choice would be sucked out of it

Far too many people are placing a huge level of importance on a game that people will be burnt out on by September.

It's not that fun.....fun for like a few days and then gets old, and there isn't much to do.

It's honestly not that great and really only has the Blizzard seal of quality going for it. Because blizzard made it....it's a solid game, but it's not that fun after a few days.

I don't millions will disagree with me and I probably would have initially as well, but after playing the Beta for a bit for free, there is absolutely no way I'd ever pay for this game.

I get much more enjoyment out of dozens of other games including Heroes of the Storm ( which isn't perfect, but at least remains fun game after game....day after day for 1.5 years into my playing experience of it)
