This morning Konami announced a new pachislot machine dedicated to the Metal Gear Solid franchise titled Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, and featuring events from the legendary third game, including some really spiffy remade cutscenes.
Fans did not like it, to put it down kindly: The announcement trailer now features 14,093 dislikes over 94,003 views at the time of the latest update, twelve hours after publishing. Only 464 users decided to express a positive impression on the video.
The MGS3 remake has been announced as "Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater." Metal Gear Solid Master's Collection announced for Autumn 2023.
It’d be awesome if the MGS3 in this version combined the 3DS version’s superior controls with the HD version’s contents

I’m excited for this but I’ll never understand why not remake metal gear solid first. Also is that master collection just ports? Or are they remasters?
Chronological order for remakes maybe? Also Snakeeater is arguably the most popular MG game so that's also why.
Come to think of it, it's gonna be weird remaking MGS because how are you supposed to look up Meryl's codec frequency if you've got the digital edition lol.

Konami is remaking Silent Hill 2 so I guess they just want to put out the title fans like the most after the long hiatus for each respective series.

Oh the collection, ok, ye it probably will be on ps4 as well. Pretty sure everyone thought u ment MGS3. That would've been ludicrous.
I would rather have a remade silent hill 1 before 2 but I see your point. Silent hill one scared the crap out of as a kid . It was creepy in a way resident evil has never been.
It's good to see MGS 1 finally come to Xbox. Hopefully MGS 4 will be in the Vol. 2 collection. I still wonder how this collection will differ from the HD collection that's already on Xbox.
I think Guns of the Patriots not being on other platforms is due to a few reasons:
1.It was developed exclusively on extremely specialized hardware. That on its own might be a nightmare to commit time and resources to.
2. Game had endorsements. Calorie Mate, Apple, and Sony to name a few. Might be some issues there.
3. Maybe Sony needs to greenlight it for some odd reason?
4. Konami really doesn't want to. Getting anything from them this generation has been like pulling teeth.
MGS 4 is definitely possible, Konami is extremely rich in Japan, and they can easily afford to re-sign licenses with companies. However if they can't or choose not to, then texture maps can be swapped out for "Peach OS" instead of "Apple OS". Altair's costume can be removed, food names can be changed, etc. It's really not that hard, as long as you put some effort into it. No different than removing Brad Buxon's music from Sonic 3 in order for Sonic Origin's Collection to be released.
Uncharted 1, 2, 3, God of War 3, Last of Part, were all specifically coded for PS3 hardware, and all received excellent ports to the PS4, there's nothing stopping Konami from doing the same on even more powerful hardware with the PS5.
Where there's a will, there's a way. Question is, does Konami have the will to make it happen? If Volume 1 sells well enough, I'd say its quite possible.
Didn't say it wasn't possible. If you distill the reasons I gave into simple points, it comes down to level of effort and red tape.
Also, pretty sure Sonic 3 was Michael Jackson. Ending sounds identical to Stranger in Moscow, Ice Cap sounds identical to Who is it, etc.
Volume 2 possibly 4 and Portables? I seriously got goosebumps after wondering where this bird was going and Snake appears.

I think it's sad though that the scenes with The Boss and Snake in a remake of Snake Eater seemed more what I wanted to see from a next gen MGS game then what we got with MGSV

Looks like it's going to give Infinite Warfare a run for it's money for being the most disliked video game youtube video.
And 95% of the dislikes are from westerners who have never even played pachinko, and never will.
