Ed from Twinfinite writes: "Overwatch is basically Team Fortress 3, and I mean that in the most respectful and complimenting way possible towards both games. Team Fortress 2 should be recognized as one of the greatest games of the last generation. It has been supported for nearly 10 years, and still continues to captivate a stable audience with its timeless visuals, easy to pick up and play gameplay, and of course, hats. TF2 players love their hats.
Blizzard’s latest hit, Overwatch, seems poised to be this generation’s crazy fun and batsh!t silly shooter. And, given Blizzard’s track record of supporting their franchises, could also capture that same longevity as well. "
Valve has finally introduced the much-needed 64-bit support in an unexpected Team Fortress 2 update after 17 years since its release.
64 bit support is not the same as a next gen upgrade. 64 bit has been used for like 12-15 years now?
The world could always use a few more heroes, or in this case friends. Here are some Overwatch Heroes you would want to hang out with.
Team Fortress 2 is back with a bang, and this can be the start of a new era for the game, but only if Valve is willing to help it.
Fun as hell, but they need to nerf that GD Reaper !
I can see Overwatch having a long lifespan similar to Team Fortress 2 as well. Blizzard does a superb job of supporting their games and although the console versions of Overwatch may eventually see the playerbases dry up after a few years as players move on to newer things, I can see the PC community living a very long life, much like every other Blizzard title.
See...Blizzard did this to get back at Valve for Dota 2, even though it was Blizzards fault they didn't realize what they had in their own mod community.
