Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands Will Have 7 Different Versions At Retail

Ubisoft today released a new trailer for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands. What we found more interesting was the fact that the game will have 7 different versions available at retail. I can’t recall a game having such a variety of editions at retail.

I want a collectors edition but I need to get a limited edition for the Steelbook

Steelbooks and Season Passes SHOULD BE INCLUDED in the main collectors edition. You are paying a lot for it

A main complaint I have about CE's is the lack of a season pass, yet Gold editions get one.

I paid $120 for Fallout, $160 for the Witcher and $120 again for Dark Souls 3. But I'm expected to pay another $30-50 for the season pass....

If you are paying that much then a digital code is not going to loose you money because you don't need to make anything physical to put inside it.

It's greed plain and simple. They can put these codes in and they wouldn't loose money because the extra cost of the CE will make up for it

In my opinion they should be "Master Codes" - Like Season Passes but they unlock all content out with pre order stuff and any future DLC

Buddy, no one is forcing you to buy such versions or season passes.

I only buy a season pass when I'm actually done with a game as often I'm not even sure If I'm going to like it, in fact.....I can't even tell you of a season pass I bought this gen or even last gen besides BF3.

Even titles that I like ,I have over 100 hours in Fallout 4, but I'm not done with all the side quest or even the main quest, thus....why spend more money to get more quest when I'm not even done with what I currently have?

If you 100% games, then kool, buddy I completely envy the time and dedication you have, but no on is forcing you to spend any extra money on a season pass. You buy one, because you want one...its that simple.

Hell, even Fox will tell you, he bashed Battlefront to DEATH before and even after its release, he knows I bought and supported that game day 1, ....I'M NOT BUYING THE SEASON PASS TO BATTLEFRONT!

Its not that its a bad game, its not that I don't have the money, its that I enjoyed what I played, but NOT enough to spend MORE money on maps or weapons etc.

Even my top favorite games from last year I can tell you I don't have a season pass or DLC from, if you want it...you buy it. Its up to you, but please don't go on here making it sound as if poor you ,someone put a gun to you're head.

I've backed player choice for years in regards to post launch content, I LOVE the right of the consumer to decided if they want to spend to keep playing with more post launch content, but that is a CHOICE.

I love Fallout, Love Witcher, Love the Souls series, but even I didn't buy the season passes to all those games or CE editions or anything like that, just to go on complaining about the price of something I choose to buy. ie "I'm expected to pay" well who made you do that the first time?

You buying Platinum for BF is based on what you feel its worth is, but that is something that you may not feel with other BFs, for example, what if you don't like BF1? Oh now you are stuck with spending $120 on a game you don't like all that much?

I only buy DLC or Season pass if I've 100% the game and want more . I NEVER buy DLC or Season pass BEFORE I've played the game.

EVEN with a series I love SOOOO much like BF. This BF3, put over 400 hours in it, BFBC2, put over 800 hours in it across 2 platform oh....oh I bought the DLC for those games!

BF4....nope. Not bad game by any means, put 200 hours in it and easily the best MP titles this entire gen imho, but I just wasn't feeling it with BF4 and had sooooo many other games I was playing.

Yet I would be stuck with a high price for BF4, with content I wasn't even going to play for that long. If folks are hardcore fans, ie 100% each game the week of release, then sure....buy DLC or Season pass day 1, but for me, I just can't do it.

Not because I have anything against post launch content because MOST on this site know my stance on it, but merely because of HOW I personally go about games. Some times years will go buy, I will pick up a game that I stopped playing and just randomly 100% it...guess what? That DLC years later will be a better price then if I got it day 1.

Treat DLC and Seasons passes JUST like new games.

Why buy more new games when you didn't finish you're current stack? Well why buy DLC or a season pass of a game not finished? For me, its sorta no different.

I don't know if I 100% games enough now days to really help myself to DLC or Season passes.

Are you actually defending the Division? The game looked amazing at e3 2013, so much promise. Then 3 years later we get 20 generic missions, little enemy/boss variety, the best guns look pretty much the same as the worst guns, and the end game is lacking. AC however dried up on me not far past the halfway point of the first game. I found it repetitive and lacking unfortunately. I hear things improved in the later games a bit though

I buy digital so who cares what the retail versions come with, but the only reason why companies put out 3 or 4 versions of the game is because people out there actually buy them. Otherwise a company would never entertain the idea and only give us a regular and deluxe.
