Assetto Corsa has become one of the most popular racers on the PC platform over the past few years, and now Kunos is getting ready to bring the game over to consoles. Racing simulator games are more realistic than ever. Here's a list of the best racing simulator games if you need a Holiday rush.
Assetto Corsa is a popular racing simulation game known for its realistic driving experience. It offers a wide range of meticulously detailed cars and
The Assetto Corsa series has sold over 28 million copies globally and made €104 million in revenue, with a sequel releasing in spring 2024.
Jesus really? Damn I didn't know Assetto Corsa was that popular. Now that I look at the sales numbers and the sheer about of mods for the PC version I guess I can see it now.
Really impressive numbers.
There´re more racing simulators fans out there than most racing games studios acknowledges.
Wish AC1 was at least one X enhanced but it's only sold a lot because of its price
Really curious how they adapt this to consoles. I didn't think this would be a fit but I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
I went from GT5 to Assetto corsa on PC a couple years ago. I never looked back. The physics and force feedback combined with the laser scanned tracks and obsessive attention to detail in the car models and cockpits, will make driving in this game unmatched on console -guaranteed.
If you want 1000 cars with a basic physics model and lame sounds, go GT. But if you care about the driving experience above all else, and can appreciate the time and attention put into each car that is in the game, head to Assetto Corsa. One car in AC is worth ten cars in Gran Turismo, because the guys at Kunos put a lot of passion and care in the replication of each model and its handling characteristics.
Question to those who've played this on PC. Are there "wimp" options in this game for guys like me who generally suck at pure sim racers? Can you enable things like handling and brake assists?
