I don't want to be that guy, but I would like to point you to the General Internet Fuckwad Theory: a normal person, given anonymity and an audience, is going to be a total fuckwad. It sucks, and we need to fix it, but it exists now, and that also sucks.

If you getting straight out abuse from others players, it must mean ya pretty dam good at that game. I find this sort of thing very amusing and I'm upset that, I've had no such messages like this of late...

slightly different note:

this is why I mute everyone in a game that has open mic lobbies. I don't want to hear someone humming and speaking jibberish to rap music, nor do I want to hear that bs background noise anyway. I don't want to hear heavy mic breathers or someone's fan. I don't want to hear what sounds like a 4 year old playing GTA and I definitely don't want to hear any annoying kids. I also can't stand when people speak in other languages because, from my experience, they talk nonstop, like it's an unwritten rule to talk as much as possible in as little time and never breathe between sentences.

I will listen and talk on the mic if I find myself in an important mission, heist, raid where there's just a few of us and communication is key. Otherwise everyone's getting muted.

It amazes me that no one ever checks their settings and sees optimal mic levels to see if the mic is picking up mouth breathing.

I don't know the last time I got a hate message on PSN. Maybe if I destroy someone on madden, offer mercy, they reject then continue to get whooped and concede but I then decline. I've also gotten a few messages from the division when I go rogue on someone. But typically I just get friend requests from people I've barely played with and occasionally I get messages/requests to do something.

To me if you get a hate message on psn it's because you truly do suck at something and aren't helping the team. And you should be working on something else in game to get your "level/skill" up.
