OnlySP: Since before Batman: Arkham Knight came out last year, the release of the last-gen Arkham games on PS4 and Xbox One has been one of the industry’s worse kept secrets.
"There are new PlayStation Plus tiers and I've been enjoying many remasters after subscribing to Premium so here are my 10 favourites." - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums
Rossco once again returns to arkham and this time is taking on Arkham City in his review. While the remaster of the game is decent enough, the quality of the original makes it a must play for those who missed it originally.
Don't get how this is scoring so high, maybe I'm partially to blame for not paying much attention to the news surrounding it but it looks about the same quality as the PC versions on max settings. Not to mention it's the sloppiest remaster I've ever bought..I got it a week after launch and was greeted with a 14gb (when combining both games) patch.. how the *beep* do you need a 14gb patch for a remaster of two fairly old games?
That aside though, both are still amazing games and the combat is as satisfying now as it was back when they were released. Unlike some remasters we've been seeing, this one still holds up well by today's standards.
A graphics comparison of the Batman: Return to Arkham - Arkham City on PS4 with Arkham City: Armored Edition on Wii U.
WHy compare a port to a version that was enhanced with a new engine? Shall we compare Super Mario Bros NES to the SNES version?
Would they just announce this game already!
This is probably the worst kept secret in the gaming industry.
I have a feeling the game will get leaked to certain stores and we'll still be waiting for them to announce it.
You can play both these games at 4k/60fps quite easily on PC. Now that is good reason to play these games again and you can get both these games for $2.5 each.
Lame!
They couldn't be bothered to include Origins and Knight.
Pass!
Played these games in 1080/60 years and years ago.
