Phil writes, "With Doom on its way later this year and with players having experienced the beta, it seems like a perfect opportunity to delve into other franchises that saw impressive reboots. Sometimes the only direction a long lost franchise can go is just wiping the chalkboard clean and starting fresh. That's what these ten gaming franchises did, and they were quite successful in doing so. While the jury is out on Doom currently, I know for a fact that these ten reboots are some of the best within the industry. After you've checked out my picks, why not list some of your own favorite franchise reboots in the comments section?"
Many of you who have already played Rise of the Ronin may have noticed some elements of our previous works such as Ninja Gaiden and Nioh from Team Ninja. Today we’re excited to share some of the behind-the-scenes development stories for the first time. Plus we share details on an upcoming game update.
not a good title FPS RUSSIA. should have gone with: "new content added'. ... or something like that
try : 'New and expanded content 5 new Ally Missions added. + Addition of dojo training partners"
Hanzala from eXputer: "On this joyous 8th anniversary of the Ratchet and Clank reboot, it's about time Sony considers reviving the originals to complete the saga."
It's not the ideal situation but Sony does offer them on ps plus. I to would just like a big ass compilation on doscto though
Insomniac roadmap leaked a while ago and they are making another, they’re doing the best they can and these games, especially the last two, are master pieces
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart hardware issues are a huge problem for AMD users
Strange with the ps5 being amd based it would of been more optimized for amd gpu's.
Lets see just how widespread these issues are... doesnt make a bit of sense because the game was made for amd hardware.
: oh its just complaining over amd's poor implementation of things on the pc side.
AMD has already confirmed it's a driver-related issue on their cards. Besides, AMD 'users' can't stop telling us how not important Ray Tracing is, how they always play with it off, and how it's an 'Nvidia gimmick.' This shouldn't be a problem for them I believe.
On a side note, kudos to Nixxes and Sony for releasing one of the best PC ports in 2023. Amazing graphics with Ray Tracing, great performance, detailed system requirements, plenty of graphics options, all upscaling technologies (DLSS, FSR, and XeSS), DirectStorage 1.2, and native Mouse and Keyboard support.
People never listened when I said that this game doesn’t use “real” ray tracing on PS5. I believe it uses a very clever advanced/modified screen space reflection system. Which is why the real ray tracing doesn’t work on pc.
The new Ratchet & Clank is hands down the best one!
Wow..a list that doesn't completely suck..I don't agree with Star Fox, played it and didn't like it too much. Prince of Persia? I didn't like that reboot too much. Ninja Gaiden, Killer Instinct and Ratchet are FAN FREAKING TASTIC
Metroid prime should have been on this list lol.
Thank you Insomniac for rebooting R&C maybe now other dev such as Naughty Dog see Crash and Jax could still work.
Ratchet & Clank on PS4 is not a Reboot, Ratchet & Clank is a Remake of Ratchet & Clank1 on Ps2 with exactly the same levels just a few additions.
A Reboot is an entirely new vision of an existing IP, something like the new Tomb Raider or Dmc Devil may cry.
Some guys like the writer of this crap artikel are realy to dumb to see differences between Re Release, HD-Ports, Remakes and Reboot they always confuse them even if it is really not that hard to tell the differences. Is it really that hard to tell if something is an entirely new vision of a game or if it is bessically the same game like already existing with exactly the same looking characters and levels like the original game but with new updated graphics? And is it really that hard to tell the differences between a Remake with new updated graphics and a HD-Port with the same graphics like the original game but only enhanced resolution? I not only often hear guys confuse Remakes and Reboots like in this article I also often her HD- Ports and Remakes confused.
