Coming to PlayStation Plus in May: Tropico 5, Table Top Racing and more

The PlayStation Plus team is excited to present your next batch of games, available for download on 3rd of May.

First up is tongue-in-cheek dictator sim Tropico 5 – a fully-fledged city-building game set on a fictional island nation. Stepping into the boots of virtual dictator, El Presidente, you’ll guide and direct the everyday life of your beloved Tropicans. Farm llamas, build textiles plants, and occasionally concern yourself with the well-being of your residents, while secretly funneling money to your Swiss Bank Account. Tropico 5 also has four-player online multiplayer where you can battle it out with other would-be dictators online.

Same here. The car racing one isn't bad either, though I'm not a fan of racing games (I've been trying to get into new stuff, though). Overall, I only own one of the game, so not so bad. And, 3 games on PS4 this month.

I might give Tropico a go since it's free. Perssonally I'm most excited for TTR World Tour. Been waiting for it since its announcement. Loved the 1st one on Android and Vita and now we are getting it free on PS4! AWESOME!

Overall good month, 1/2 good games on each system. Looks they're keeping Watch Dogs for June.

Negativity aside, I think its far more likely that was a hoax. First and foremost, both games were published by Ubisoft, which makes it unlikely to begin with. From there, you have a highly anticipated AAA title paired with the umpteenth revision/release of a classic game, which scored terribly low. While a lot of people didn't think Watch Dogs lived up to the hype, it's hard to deny that its a AAA title and something noteworthy, no matter how many negative reviews/opinions are out there. But the basic idea, I think, feeds into the perceived mentality of the community.

Based off the comments, people expect things like Tetris, yet want things like Watch Dogs. So by pairing the two you got some believability, mostly because people assume they will get bad games, with others reluctantly accepting it isn't the AAA game you wanted (a common debate that happened with Zombi).

Nice looking forward to play a Tropico game for the first time, Table Racing looks interesting, the LocoRoco game for ps3 at least good for a few hours. Bionic Commando Rearmed looks like a lot of fun

Tropico is a good AAA game on PC, and I really think people will enjoy it. It is a big change of pace from almost all other free games since the PS4 release, so that is a big positive as well. I think this month is a solid one compared to the lackluster ones for me *personally* so far this year.

It was hard, but Im glad I held off buying Tropico 5. Anyone who played it... Is there native keyboard/ mouse support for the PS4 version? RTS games always feel better using a mouse/ key combo.

Tabletop Racing also looks good. Im guessing/ hoping there is split screen support, as my wife loves these kind of games.

I own it, Great game and not over complicated. Not sure if there is mouse and keyboard support (believe there might be) but it plays well with dualshock 4.

First month in a long time that had a game I really wanted. Tropico 5 will be played a lot and I've avoided buying it in hopes of it coming to PS+.

Older PC game but I'll definitely play it a lot.

EDIT: Oh, I just noticed that GOW:GOS is just the mobile version I already own. I thought it was the PS3 HD version. Still a solid month. I'll get Tropico and they'll get money from the DLC I'll buy. See how that works? Ha

If the U.S gets these then I'm pretty glad I didn't get Ghost of Sparta despite being tempted. Finally a good PSP games, not garbage ones like Invizimals lmfao. Switch Galaxy Ultra is trash though, so it's still a half shitty month for Vita owners (better than a fully shitty month as usual).

Viva Tropico!

I enjoyed past games in the Tropico series on PC, and had been on the fence a few times considering getting Tropico 5 for PS4. Happy El Presidente will reign on PS+, all the other games feel like an added bonus. I've heard Tropico plays alright with the DualShock 4, will be interesting to find out.

I don't care about GWG as I don't plan to own a Xbox one til they are 200 or cheaper. As for ghost of Sparta that's for PS Vita(also dont own) and tropico is hit or miss for me. Tabletop racing looks decent lets face it psplus could be so much better if we're all being honest with ourselves I just wish online play wasnt behind a mandatory paywall. So I take a harder look at what we are given every month because of this issue.

I really cant relate to the negativity of some of the comments regarding next months games, I assume most are posted by salty Xbox or PC gamers. I totally understand if RTS's aren't your cup of tea but that dosn't mean Tropico is a poor offering. I almost bought it only a couple of weeks ago!

I agree if it's just not your bag as we can't all get games we all Love and would sink 100-200 hours in each and every month they have so many genres and everyone has different tastes so it can't be a new shooter every month or just racing games but yeah Tropico it's hardly a blinding game in months years past like the month I got my vita I literally bought my Vita that month because it came with 4 of the best games (SF VS Tekken, Uncharted, Gravity Rush and Katamari) pretty much paid for the console in one month as is have bought all those games anyway, Tropico is hardly gonna make people go yes Gotta be ps4 or yeah I'll sign up for another year of ps+ because this months games are banging/amazing/out of this world, God of war is great if you own a vita but average at best on ps4 hence why Tropicos metacritic is 76ish and 7.2 user that's not terrible sure but it's not something I'd rush out to buy or even just download for free when there plenty of other 8-9-10/10's I've yet to play yet.
Maybe next month but still free is free. More than I got for 9 years on Xbox live for the same price so better than nothing.

Already platinum God of War, hey ho. Free is free, even tho I wasn't impressed to hear watch dogs think I'd have taken it over this lot, can't have it all every month but they do need to step it up a bit again that's for sure it's changed since I first signed up with PS3/Vita got Uncharted/Katamari/Street fighter vs Tekken and Gravity rush all free on day one for one month and that was just Vita they were chucking the games around and they weren't holding back I can see why they don't just drop all their ps4 games on PS+ but now we're a good couple of years down the line there is a massive list of games that could easily be offered now we haven't had a platinum/classics range introduced so why not just start putting up some Killzones etc Knack I always hear asked for (not interested myself I'd have bought it by now otherwise) but watch dogs is another could always do injustice again for a month for those who missed it 1st time round. All the launches games could easily go into ps+ now tho by the time they would have got through them they'll have another years worth of games to give away. Come on Sony E3 lets see you smash it. Just don't destroy Nintendo what with them being doomed and all that.
