Liam from The Game Bolt: "Ratchet & Clank blasted onto the PlayStation 4 this past week, a reboot of a game made back in the early 2000s for the PS2. It’s a major franchise for Sony, as its platforming mechanics and diverse arsenal of wacky, otherworldly guns have earned Insomniac Studios critical acclaim and commercial success. The reboot is scheduled to coincide with the release of the first film, due out at the end of April, but it’s also coming at just the right time. What other reboots need to come in the nick of time, and soon?"
While gamers usually take notice of the mainline missions, these 5 side quests deserve more widespread attention for how entertaining they are.
This sounds awesome. This afternoon, Genvid Entertainment announced two, all-new interactive streaming series at San Diego-Comic Con: DC Heroes United and Borderlands EchoVision Live.
GF365: "Most games are not perfect and that may be because of a character or an enemy. Here are 10 mediocre bosses in great games."
The Pursuer from Dark Spuls 2 was great, I think the author just sucks at games.
Those games are fine and do not need reboots. I will take new IPs instead and new entries.
Resident Evil
I have been hoping for another Onimusha for the longest time, even as a Rerelease on the PS4, I would buy it. I think Borderlands is fine, doesn't need a reboot. Toss up on the others.
Yeah, lets reboot games that are barely 8 years old. Makes sense.
There's no need to reboot Borderlands; there were only like 3 main series games. Reboot something that's been around for a while and has a lot of games already, but isn't attracting a crowd like it used to. That's why the new Ratchet and Clank game works so well; there were several games later in the series, but going back to R&C's roots and re-introducing it to a new generation was a largely better decision than making just another sequel.
Try something like Assassin's Creed. AC games have been pushed out back to back for years. The story's become super convoluted and the mechanics have become monotonous. If Ubisoft rebooted the series, scrapped the story for a newer and better one, and reworked the mechanics, I guarantee the new game would be received better than just another sequel.
