Before God of War, Sony Santa Monica released a futuristic racing game named Kinetica for PS2. It was back in 2001, and the game launched exclusively in North America.
A new tradermark filed by Sony in the European Union hints to the possibility that Kinetica could be the next PS2 game to land on PS4.
Today Sony Interactive Entertainment made available the classic PS2 JRPG Wild Arms 3 and Sony Santa Monica’s Kinetica on the PS4.
Each week Sony brings PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable owners new content, add-ons, games and more. It looks like two more PS2 games are set to make their PS4 debut, in the form of Wild Arms 3 and Kinetica.
Mgs 2 and 3 please.
This pleases me.
Being in Europe I'm ashamed to say I actually had to look this game up. I'd never heard of it which is rare for my as my knowledge of the ps2 is pretty good. If they release this I'm going to have to give it a go.
Man this game was hella fun. Been about five or more years since I last played it, but it's a pretty good racing game with a unique spin on the whole concept. Fun fact: the main reason this game was made was as a test for the engine itself, which was named Kinetica. God of War 1 (and I think 2 as well) used this engine.
Interesting choice, but count me in!
