Some of you may know Rare as “that studio that made a game about a bear and a bird.” Some of you know Rare as “that studio Microsoft bought.” Some of you may even know Rare as “that really British studio.” Some of you may not know Rare at all, but that’s ok, you’re about to hear a lot more about this studio! Rare has been part of the Microsoft family for just over 13 years and has been a part of the games industry family for over 30, making, tinkering and creating games that are both memorable, creative, fun and joyful –and that’s not about to change any time soon. They’ve just released 30 classic games in a compilation collection, Rare Replay, to celebrate their 30-year history, and as they continue to grow and embrace the future, they’ve announced their exciting new project; Sea of Thieves.
Hidetaka Miyazaki, a renowned director & president of FromSoftware has hinted how he might be soon making another Armored Core game.
Pilestedt writes: "Very good question. First thing we got to do is ensure we get more devs time playing the game. It's hard to make the right decisions if the eyes aren't on the road.
Secondly, I want to ensure we actively look at the sentiment and create a holistic view of WHY feedback is given. And my working theory is that TTK is too high."
They need to give us weapons that are fun to use. Right now you will have over 30 enemy patrols that randomly appear around you in a near never ending horde. Most of the weapons we are getting are either semi automatic guns that can take out 1 light armored mob if you hit the weak point or low damage automatic rifles with high recoil.
To make the game more fun, we need some fun futuristic weapons. I would love to see a gun that can fire elemental rounds except for incendiary and a proper thermite grenade.
Druckmann claims the tech could 'push the boundaries of storytelling in games.'
I’m more interested in what else he said.
“Neil Druckmann says new Naughty Dog title could ‘redefine mainstream perceptions of gaming’
He also said it has "ethical issues we need to address" but of course that doesn't get the clicks.
I’m all for it. Cuts the time to make a game. Look, Hellblade 2 took 5 years to make, if AI can do that in half the time, as a consumer, I support it.
Nice Interview, can't wait to play Sea of Thieves
