Uncharted 4 Will Feel A Lot Like The Last Of Us, And That's OK

From what we're hearing, it seems clear that we'll notice a definite TLoU influence in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, and that's a logical, proper evolution.

That's what I atleast wanted if they weren't making a TLoU2 right now. TLoU has better gameplay than Uncharted, period.

It's 2 very different games. Gameplay is not comparable.
Judging only from the U4 beta it felt nothing like TLoU at all.

Umm that's not OK at all. Last of us is good but uncharted is way better at everything but stealth and we don't need that in uncharted imo.

TLOU is better in every single way from gun play, stealth, graphically and obviously the story.
There's a reason TLOU won so many GOTY awards.

I agree the story is better in last of us but that's about it for me. Uncharted is a much funner game but I don't really like stealth games. Both games are great but they need to be different and separate themselves from each other.

'A Thief's End' might suggest someone's death, not just the end of Nathan's adventures.

I fear for Sully. I wouldn't want him to be the one. If there's later spin offs without Nathan, Sully would be the reason I'd feel a character engagement to new or other characters. I don't like the idea of prequels- UC3 already did a bit of that in part.

Well with the open areas and being able to approach situations how you see fit then I'm sure it will be. I'd guess at least 20 hours. I believe it'll be quite epic, my friend.

I'm sorry but I don't agree with this at all. How would it sound if we flipped the games? The LoU will feel allot like Uncharted, and that's ok. No it's not ok because the vibes are totally different. If this is the last uncharted game we get for a while I want to be a damn good Uncharted game

Good to know, TLOU was GOTG last gen and had more awards than all the games on competitor's platform combined, so if UC4 is anything like TLOU, it will be the GOTG of this gen, bring it on, can't wait to see that sweet sweet metacritic score.

Well from the looks of the gameplay videos and the beta, it still feels like uncharted. There is some stuff learned from tlou but ultimately it still looks uncharted through and through.

Hate to state what seems to be a fact but The last of us took a great deal from uncharted. So really uncharted kind of takes from itself. I know just saying love both games.

This article is inaccurate imo, sure will it have some stealth mechanics as well as feature a strong and emotional story? Of course it will, but that's about where I see the similarities end. The combats not the same, the overall feel of the game doesn't seem the same either. ND went and said they took a few things from TLOU and wanted to implement them in UC4 and now some folks think the next UC game will resemble TLOU in feel opposed to past UC games lol. ND has went and said it time and time again, this game WILL still be the UC you know and love. Even better now though cause they've learned some things from TLOU.

That's very OK. An Uncharted / Last of Us hybrid within Uncharted locations is better than either on its own in my eyes. But I hope that there is an option of multiplayer to play an old school mode without healing if anyone wishes to play that because, if you get shot, people tend not to get better so soon with a bit of bandaging.
