From a hardware perspective, Oculus Rift delivers. As a spectacles wearer with less than stellar experiences using the Crescent Bay prototype, Eurogamer was concerned that Oculus may have lost pace compared to the more comfortable HTC Vive and PlayStation VR, but the final hardware delivers. Image quality is up there with the best, latency in motion response is a non-issue (a rapid shake of the head during gameplay confirms this - the image remains perceptually rock solid) and the integrated headphones are way, way better than Eurogamer thought they would be. The headset is well-designed, build quality is good and the immersive experience overall is breathtaking.
Morels: Homestead, a relaxing game in which you can create your own unique homestead, is available now for PC VR.
Electronic Arts has confirmed that while F1 23 will support PC VR it will not support PSVR 2 on PlayStation 5.
That's fine. GT7 would overshadow it anyway at it has open wheel and regular cars.
Should have been spending their time updating Squadrons with better resolution, frame rate, haptics, etc as there isn't a game like that on PS VR 2 yet.
But it's EA. They don't think.
A wasted opportunity, but I don't buy EA / Codemasters stuff anyway. Grid Legends just came out on Plus and I haven't touched it. Why would I when I have GT7 and PSVR2?
Here's a forgotten VR gem for you from 2019. Epic Games' action-packed Robo Recall, which is also available for Quest 2.
Although I never owned an oculus, I played the demo for this at an electronics store. Pretty impressive in an early goings of VR title.
reading stuff like this makes me feel happy I preordered one.
Hopefully, PSVR will get a lot of positive reviews also 😀
And their best game is what...Lucky's Tale? What am I...12? No thanks Oculus. For me, getting my Oculus wasn't about the shitty cartoonish games. It was about the Cinema/Movie experience. But with no SDK - they're gonna find it very hard to keep up with HTC Vive
Congratulations to Oculus! I hope early adopters have a blast with it. Can't wait for October to get my VR experience.
