Doubt it'll be a fill out game. It'll be some sort of "experience "

Aenea2967d ago

I hope Fighter Squadron! And way more modes than in the current game!

badz1492967d ago

I trust Sony on VR but I don't really trust EA on this. call me paranoid but EA doesn't have the best track records! I think they will ruin it in one way or another

kraenk122967d ago (Edited 2967d ago )

I agree, especially since it doesn't seem it's DICE who are working on the game!

Pillsbury12967d ago

There is so much they could do with VR and Star Wars: pod racing, rogue squadron, slave leia voyeur.
The possibilities!

DopeTech2967d ago (Edited 2967d ago )

I think this whole VR thingy isn't worth it, It'll just be a gimmick for around 2 - 3 years then after that It'll go down just like 3DTVs and other stuff like that...

traumadisaster2967d ago

In part I agree cause you do have a similar feeling of get this crab off my sweaty head and an eye/nausea twinge.

While gimmicky, like 3dtv,move,kinect,wii,psye the effect is really really cool.

Where the other things don't pull you back, vr can be good enough to crave more. But it's not good enough for a full time replacement of drakes, farcry, etc.

kraenk122967d ago

No one wants that and no one expect it to be that as well.

Mr_cheese2967d ago

I beg to differ, but honestly, until we have had a good year using the technology, how can any of us judge so soon?

VR is what I wanted in gaming from a kid, and for me, this feels like what I imagined... Nothibg like a sweaty head or a crab (you may want to get that checked out). But I'm more than willing to bet this will be a success.

As for 3D, it may not be used much in gaming or even too much in film releases but every new TV has it built in, so I would hardly call it a fail, since it will eventually be in every home as tvs are upgraded which means eventually it may be due a 2nd coming

Lamboomington2967d ago

You probably haven't tried it.

Don't compare VR and 3D, the two are completely different. Staring at an image on a screen that pops out vs being put right into the game world.

The latter is simply much more compelling.

GNCFLYER2967d ago

Its no gimmick. The world your standing in now, when you strap that headset on you will be in a different 3d 360 digital world. VR is amazing. Cant wait for kiosk to pop up so people can try it out.

jukins2967d ago

Maybe you'reyou're right but so far the vr "gimmick" has proven to be pretty popular so far even at the top end units are selling out as fast as they're made available. Variety of content is what will help this become more than a gimmick even if it's something as simple as using the theatre mode. Guess we'll just have to see

mariopasta50d ago

I can finally watch pron, I mean watch pronouns be pronounced in PC VR games that were previously not available on Playstation.

crazyCoconuts50d ago

be careful not to sprain your... tongue pronouncing those pronouns

Profchaos50d ago

I'm excited for that to plus I can try fallout 4 VR always wanted to play that

crazyCoconuts50d ago

I was lucky and held off on 4 until I played it in VR. It really is pretty awesome - you'll love it.

DaReapa50d ago

The icing on the cake would be if Sony / Valve allow for a Steam Link app much like it is for the Quest 3. Likely wishful thinking, though.
