The icing on the cake would be if Sony / Valve allow for a Steam Link app much like it is for the Quest 3. Likely wishful thinking, though.
Warner Bros. Discovery is closing down Adult Swim Games, delisting its published games. Thus putting Rick and Morty VR in jeopardy.
Very informative. Cant wait for VR.
ask yourself this, will sony allow it's big studios like naughty dog to make psvr games and not some quick cash-in style games. i mean actual big production games that will require psvr to play? you can't expect ubisoft and the other publishers to if you aren't.
so until that happens this is why i will keep saying psvr and even the oculus rift and htc thrive, will all be treated like a peripheral. it doesn't make much business sense to go all out when the install base is starting from 0 on a system that will be 3 years old by the time it comes out.
and those are the games that will make the best use of it. not games like gt sports or any other aaa game with psvr optional use.
Replace the words VR in the title with Eye Toy, PS2 HDD, PSP, PS Vita. I don't exactly have faith in the success of anything Sony makes besides the PS4. That "best approach is making games for PSVR" is just that, an approach. I doubt, given their track record, that they will continue support for the long term since their trend is to give up after a while. Their lack of perserverence in making games for the great handheld devices they made led to the death of their handheld market. I don't know, maybe they'll be the first company to beat the peripheral curse but the odds are seriously stacked against them in my opinion.
