Great to hear :) Glad it worked.

DragonbornZ2969d ago

Thanks for letting us know about it!

vickers5002969d ago

Mobile users, don't click the link. At this time, I've clicked the link in the article twice (the one that takes you to the ms page) and both times it brought up one of those unskippable, unbackoutable, vibrating, your phone is infected ads.

Go to the ms site yourself.

Skate-AK2969d ago (Edited 2969d ago )

@vickers500 is correct. I got hit with the same page. Do not trust the link, might be phishing.

XanderZane2968d ago

Worked on my new account that has never had XBox Live. Did not work on my account that already has XBox Live subscription. Knew it was probably too good to be true.

WrestlingNewsFan2969d ago

I told my friend about this who has an Xbox One, and said it worked for him. Nice find!

no_more_heroes2969d ago

I think it just worked for me.

Kryptix2969d ago (Edited 2969d ago )

It was probably a glitch...because it just got fixed/removed.

Davi1232968d ago

Well, for one reason is good have been just a glicth... because if it was of purpose.
I have told this: Damaged Control infinte level.

crazychris41242969d ago

Its works but the catch is you need to enter a credit card and it auto renews. Im sure you can turn off automatic renewal but Im not going to enter my credit card info. I just buy those cards in stores.

DragonbornZ2969d ago

Yeah I just canceled my renewal. Still had my card on. Meant to take it off. Never had any problems, but I always worry about what could happen.

You can keep a prepaid visa card on there?

Soldierone2968d ago

Yes, you just need the Visa ones that can activate online. Once you activate it, it reads like a regular credit card.

DragonbornZ2968d ago

@Soldierone

Ah cool. Actually have a couple Visa cards I got from Walmart a while ago I can use.

Thanks yo!

Goldenarmz2969d ago

I had a friend, whos card expired but was still attached, it took 2 years before MS noticed the charges werent going through. So he basically had Live for Free for about 2 years.

Xbox 360 Turns 18: Three Cheers to Live, Halo, and Red Rings

The Xbox 360 launched in North America 18 years ago, and is now officially old enough to buy you a drink in Europe.

darthv72162d ago

Great platform, and many of its games (not bc) still hold up well to this day. Like the PS3, I keep a 360 hooked up for those games you can't play any other way.

isarai162d ago

The last gasp of greatness from XBox, you are missed, except the RROD that was lame, but amazing exclusives until the Kinect dropped.

TheBrainZ162d ago

So many brilliant games. I still have one stored somewhere.

LG_Fox_Brazil162d ago

I really enjoyed my X360, some great exclusives on it. Used to play the shit out ot Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, two masterpieces

I remember when Live turned five and they had special edition controllers made and everything. Kind of wished they would do that again for the 20th.

Orchard533d ago

Happy Birthday. OG XBL (and later 360 XBL) really revolutionized online gaming on console.

Crows90533d ago

Never understood the obsession with live...but I was gaming online on PC so not sure too much of what live did that the PlayStation didn't.

Profchaos533d ago

I had a PS2 and it's online experience was fine but it didn't have the same level of polish voice chat never worked for me but I was trying to play from Australia where not many people played PS2 online to the point where many devs simply dropped the online mode from the pal version.
That's not all PS2 games mind you there were plenty that worked perfectly but it was more on the dev and not the platform

During that era I also played a fairly large amount on online PC games and they were undoubtedly better than both systems. PS2 from functionality and Xbox because it was free

Playing my friends original Xbox it was a really polished experience it felt robust yet simple things just worked there was zero config.

Crows90533d ago (Edited 533d ago )

Yeah but the time ps3 came the experience was the same on both based on what I played...not too much online though to be honest. But I do think that the xbox did help bring online into the console space a lot. As well as PC games to consoles.

Profchaos533d ago (Edited 533d ago )

Today would of been the perfect day to drop halo 2 the original bc version free on gwg.... If only
