PlayStationing writes: "The gaming world was a little shocked to hear the announcement from Tequila Works that they had reacquired their IP for RiME from Sony. However, it seems that Stewart Gilray of Just Add Water looks like he is interested in helping the studio out."
Today, the Chinese tech company Tencent announced it recently acquired a majority stake in Tequila Works, the Madrid-based studio best known for its work on Rime.
Wowwww… damn, Shinji Mikami will leave it soon! Tencent will stifle him. Talk about a giant fuck up! Unless he planned to cash in and start something else. That creative mind (ass) is privately owned again!
Noooooooo!
Guess Deadlight is my last game from them. If I buy the Invisible Hours VR, that means they'll be getting money. Noooooooo!
From GamesIndustry.biz: "Stewart Gilray, the founder and CEO of long-running UK developer Just Add Water has died.
Gilray has led the company for over 15 years, overseeing its growth as a provider of production and development services to various studios across the UK, including Codemasters, Rebellion and Bossa."
Sad news ... I was following his conditions on twitter. He was suffering from Covid-induced breathing problems.
RIP.
Sad news, I started to follow his work when JAW were given the Oddworld remake project and continued to follow their work afterwards. He was one of the good guys in the industry - RIP.
Gamerhub sat down with Stewart Gilray, CEO of Just Add Water for a nice chat about the gaming industry and his incredible career so far!
I would advise everyone to read this before feeling anything for Rime.

Interesting.
You can't Just Add Water to Tequila.
There is something really wrong being as no real updates or gameplay exist from a game announced in 2013
I was looking forward to this game, loved the artstyle but now I honestly fear we will never see it finished.
