bullshit not worth the full price

online only crap not everyone has good internet

and also this lets the games company control on how we play

time to support piracy groups if this starts to happening

this is going to end up with trolls like rainbow six going in and spoiling the game
which is already happening

Maxor3002d ago

If you dont't have good internet then this is not the game for you. I mean it's an online shooter. So yeah....you're going to need a decent connection obviously.

Artemidorus3002d ago

And that is his fault personally??

Get_A_Job_Foxtrot3002d ago

Artemidorus:

Yeah it's more his IP's fault than it is Ubisoft's fault.

Pongwater3002d ago

"And that is his fault personally??"

It's certainly not the game's fault.

DarXter3002d ago

Sounds like it's just not your kind of game.

Honestly, if you do not like multiplayer games (that are online) then do not play them. It is also not my cup of tea, but that's no reason why other's shouldn't play and enjoy them.

Plenty of good, offline, singleplayer games on all systems these days, so I do not really get the whole "games company bad" thing.

objdadon3002d ago

Oh just give it a rest already. If you have bad internet that sucks for you.

JeffGUNZ3002d ago (Edited 3002d ago )

I agree @Objdadon. People act like gaming is a mandated right of theirs lol. It's a hobby. Unless one lives in an underdeveloped or strict unregulated country, their is no excuse to be a next gen gamer and NOT have high speed internet. They are not targeting to few with limited internet or no internet. It's amazing the entitlement you see from people. It's like showing up to the Daytona 500 with a Ford Pinto. Is it the race tracks fault you don't have the right car for the race?

Taero3002d ago

So you're saying I should review SMITE or LoL as terrible because I don't have reliable internet, gotcha.

WellyUK3002d ago

why should not everyone having good internet effect people who do have good internet?

It's an MMORPG wtf were you expecting it was shown as a MP game in the first trailer...

TKCMuzzer3002d ago

not everyone has great internet but most countries should have decent enough internet, if not, then that may be question for your ISP and not the game devs. They are trying something that relies on modern technology and should not necessarily be downed for it.

Tdmd3002d ago

So, you have a crappy connection and get a online shooter to complain that it's online?

wakeNbake3002d ago

It is definitely worth the price.

Get_A_Job_Foxtrot3002d ago

Are missions really repetitve? Also how is pvp?

wakeNbake3002d ago

The missions will probably get repetitive eventually, but that being said there is far more of them then there was in Destiny so you have more variety. The PVP is alot of fun, you basically follow a group around if you want to survive because if not they will gang up on you. My main corncern is the enemy variety which is lacking for a 3rd person shooter set in modern times.

Inzo3002d ago

Well here is some not so good news, BT Games in SA does not accept MMOs, DRM or online only (which ever way you want to put it) titles for trade in anymore. So no Division for me.

GrimDragon3002d ago

I dunno....an 8 seems kind of high....after clearing Brooklyn and downtown Manhattan this game seems mediocre to me and boring most of the time. The dark zone is kind of fun but can't shake the feeling that the game is just a good time waster. Wish I could at least have a motorcycle to travel long distances after respawning miles away from an objective. For an mmo game it sure is empty especially in New York..I mean I understand an epidemic wiped out most of the populace but still there should be more things to shoot at. Not just hooded gangsters. I personally give it a 7. And much of the armor I find doesn't reflect on my character like the mask and gloves? Anyway seems to me there's room for improvement on this game that at times reminded me of gta. A little disappointed will be trading this in for doom. Sure glad I didn't get the digital version.

JeffGUNZ3002d ago

Not being a smart a$$, but you are aware of the fast travel option, right? Also, going to safe houses and speaking to people and going to the situation board opens up a lot of missions around that area. Not sure if you knew that. The game does not really explain these things, so I am not sure if you figured this out yet. The only concern for me at this point is how this will be supported with PvE endgame.

Goldby3002d ago

also its the 2nd day, they are working on their network right now, i wouldn't be suprised if th weekly updates slowly add more things, if not the monthly ones for sure will

GrimDragon3002d ago

No that's cool gunz. I get what your saying I did do many side missions they just got to a point where they became monotonous for me. Lol I did not realize about the fast travel though I think I ran marathon miles in this game thx for letting me know....still wish I had a bike though:/

-Foxtrot3002d ago

It's going to be like Destiny, hype and high praise at the beginning when you just play the game then you play it for longer and you come to realise how repetitive it is. Not to mention when that happens you'll see the expansions/DLC and think to yourself "why was that not in the main game"

JeffGUNZ3002d ago (Edited 3002d ago )

@ Fox

The difference between this and Destiny is apparent in my eyes. First off, this has a story and is pretty clear and story driven during the PvE aspect where as Destiny clearly had the story stripped and removed. Also, the world in the Division is filled with collectibles, side missions, story missions, loot to discover in the form of bags, packs, crates, etc, where Destiny's planets were vast but barren, with little to do. I don't see any evidence at this point to suggest anything was removed from the game to sell as DLC as Destiny apparently did. People claimed some videos showed Brooklyn game play and said Brooklyn was removed, but to their surprise, Brooklyn was playable in the first hour of the game till moving to Manhattan.

Also, to be fair Fox, this is a loot driven game. When are loot driven games not guilty of some repetitive fashion? My only concern after being in two betas and playing about 12 hours of release version game play is not the launch content (as I am surprised it has this much), but how they will keep the PvE aspect going down the road. Will they add a raid type element? Will they add more weekly or daily events? This game is just in its infancy of launch, so only time will tell. I still think Ubisoft launched a better start with the Division then Bungie did with Destiny.

WellyUK3002d ago

Destiny didn't have high praise... If 6/10 from most reviewers is high praise then your mad. Also it didn't change the fact that ALOT of people enjoyed Destiny and still do.

It's a genre of game now with the whole looter shooter and this is what they are and they are clearly popular as from what I see is The Division will do just as well if not better than Destiny in terms of numbers as some people love the grindy gear based shooter. People don't seem to be bothered by games like Diablo for it's repetitive grind fest yet both Division and Destiny have been battered for being pretty much the same thing but as a shooter...

Pongwater3002d ago

It's going to be like Destiny and still have a large audience a year and a half later, despite your best efforts.

JeffGUNZ3001d ago

@Grim

Man, a bike would be so bada$$ lol

EazyC3002d ago

Has it got the same feeling as Borderlands in relation to weapons feeling like pea-shooters because it's a level-based RPG (bad explanation, but you know what I mean, headshots mean jack sh*t)?

Tdmd3002d ago (Edited 3002d ago )

Enemies can be bullet sponges some times (as it is a rpg and stats counts a lot), but the guns/shooting feels amazing.

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

shinoff2183417d ago

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

-Foxtrot417d ago

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno417d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Flawlessmic417d ago

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

Hofstaderman416d ago

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

Dagexon416d ago

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
