The creativity of the developers behind "Beat Da Beat" (Nekki, in this case) not only manages to amaze me but also revived my interest for 'bullet hell' games. As it combines it´s shmup gameplay mechanics with rhythm. And the result is simply amazing and mind blowing. And this is the reason why.

Beat da Beat Review (The Rhythm-Action Bullet Hell Hybrid) | Frugal Gaming

The music is a pounding set of electronic tracks from Waterflame, Lone-X, JBroadway, The Biocide and Levelate, these fit the gameplay extremely well.

Interestingly the music is also featured as a game mechanic as the enemies fire bullets to the rhythm of each of the tracks.

Nekki is to release their rhythm based shoot-em-up “Beat Da Beat” on Steam

Indie developer and publisher Nekki are pleased to announce that smash-hit rhythm based shoot-em-up, Beat Da Beat, will be released on Steam for PC on March 11th.
