Healthy competition is good for any product. After all, the threat of a similar product stealing away consumers often motivates teams to perfect their item in hopes of overtaking their rivals. This is true in video games, as it is for any other consumer product. This spring, players will have a plethora of shooters from which to choose. Specifically, match-based and multiplayer online battle arena-inspired titles will be available in pronounced supply over the next coming months.
Gearbox Software’s upcoming first-person shooter Battleborn is the first to release this spring with a firm release date of May 3. However, Overwatch developers Blizzard Entertainment announced today that their first person competitive shooter will enter open beta on May 3, the same day.
The world could always use a few more heroes, or in this case friends. Here are some Overwatch Heroes you would want to hang out with.
Blizzard's blending of the FPS and MOBA was a masterpiece of design that met its end too soon.
I miss 6v6, lootboxes and an actual player level. I used to look forward to Junkenstein's Revenge at Halloween and the Christmas event cause of all the cool cosmetics you could earn. I'd play it every day. Now you play it for an hour, earn some stupid charm, and you're done. No reason to play anymore.
I remember those epic dreamworks-like CGIs. I wasn't a fan at all but man, I knew it was a rediculously huge game. OW2 I've seen...nothing, died maybe after a week.
OW2 is a disaster. All these years to make the game 5v5….? And they scrapped PvE? The game just sucks man zero fun.
Activision has admitted that its Call of Duty and Overwatch eSport Leagues are facing challenges that the company might fail to address.
Ha ha these have been in trouble fort awhile so now we talk about it/address it?
How about you explain why you make billions but always have layoff's.
A lot of people here couldn't even read the headline. This isn't about the games themselves, it's about the esports leagues.
Oh dear.... This will not end well, especially since Battleborn has been receiving a barrage of unending bashing from the majority of gamers.
Poor Battleborn.
Why in the hell did Gearbox make this game instead of being able to release a new Borderlands in 2016.
Quite a savage tactic by Blizzard really, what chance does Battleborn realistically have against Overwatch anyway? With Blizzard's history of post launch support for their products, I know which one would be the best investment if I had to pick one as it is.
who in their right mind would buy this crap over overwatch
Is anyone actually interested in Battleborn?
