"The first time I played Pokémon Yellow, I was nine years old. My older brother had taken me with him to a nearby snooker hall where a friend of his gave us a floppy disc. It contained a PC emulator for Yellow, which broke reliably any time you tried to progress past the end of the Veridian Forest. My earliest experience with Pokémon was playing nearly to the first gym, tracing my steps back and forth, slowly training my team as much as it is possible to without any real game progression. Getting a Pikachu above level thirty while still in the forest is a pretty laborious task!"

Bought Yellow as soon as I could from the eShop recently and have been having a blast ever since. There is something so satisfying about just seeing and catching the original Pokemon, knowing that it's actually possible to catch (or at least see) them all and fill the Pokedex - a task that is pretty difficult in the newer games.

Yeah, it's such a daunting task to even think about catching every pokemon on the new games! Gonna pick up yellow at some point because I loved going around kanto.

We’ve seen fan remakes of Pokemon games in the past, some very well done! Today, Pokebro on Youtube posted a video where he gave himself 2 weeks to remake Pokemon Yellow in 3D. The remake features a voxel art style and borrows some mechanics from both Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and Legends Arceus.
